FF VII to X OSTs are all great, Nier and Automata OSTs are great, Expedition 33 OST is fucking awesome, Valkyrie Profile OST is fantastic, Legend of Dragoon OST is beautiful, Chrono Cross OST is pretty damn good, Castlevania has some great themes, Child of light has some of those as well, L.A Noire has some pretty cool beats too, Legacy of kain Soul Reaver has at least a few very memorable songs and even Dragon´s dogma has at least one iconic theme.

It really is an amazing song. The first time I was exposed to FF7's battle theme was from watching videos of summon animations in early 2000's and the memory was burned into my brain. Up until now Final Fantasy summons were only a monster sprite that showed up did damage and left, then FF7 came out and these summons just kept going and going while this absolute banger played as if saying "but wait there's more!". Great vibe. I think it was particularly Knights of the Round Table that did it for me.

This one is a masterpiece example of how to set up the mood for a boss fight, the way it starts slow and ominous like distant winds and then a lone whistling/flute sound suddenly turns into the explosive battle theme. They went all out on that one. Magus didn't even need a banger boss theme to be top cool at this point but he got one anyway.
