You're 100% right in that you want a woman that actually has some sort of skill or hobby or something that can show that she is a good mate. That's so fucking natural that in the past, not only did the man had to prove he could provide for a woman, but a woman had to prove she had some sort of actual worth towards the man by having a skillset conducive to motherhood.
Now, doing sick Yo-yo tricks isn't exactly that, but it does show that she's skilled at something and the reptiel part of your brain is saying "WOW. This woman can actually bear my kids and I wouldn't have to worry about them dying because she's not your average retarded bitch that only cares about appearing to be a good wife>"
It's the same drive that makes smart dudes like tomboys (as in the personality type) or nerdy chicks since that same demonstration of sexual worth is displayed when an attractive woman doesn't put the focus on her physical attractivness like a whore does, but displays her acumen in some sort of skillset that requires training or practice.
Put it this way: would you rather have kids with a woman that has no practical skills outside of gussying herself up like a whore and acting like a teenage girl at the age of 30+ or a woman that has actual skills that are useful in rearing children but doesn't focus so much on the makeup and dresses outside of dates, formal events and generally special occasions (assuming she can't do both)?
