It's annoying. My bad horses keep getting medium S. The runs that don't my stats are good. Right now I have one with really good abilities, but not peak stats and no medium S, and yet the one with abilities is really leagues better than any of the other ones I've made. I made sure to pick each one with something strategic in mind based on what the other winners were running.

Oguri Cap's ability, Maruzensky's ability, homestretch, ramp up, and the usual maestro and professor of curvature + a few green abilities to match the track. Just having those few alone are making the difference, especially Oguri's ability. I don't have an Oguri so I had to breed it in from borrows, it worked out fine. Now if I could get all that + the medium S + the higher stats. But even just hitting the 1.1K speed/800+ stam and a gold skill requirement is pretty good for the pace chaser to be consistent against most, even without medium S or maxed out speed/stam/power etc. Cant be understated that without the right abilities even good stats and proficiencies go to waste, I've tested out a lot of different umas the past few days against all the minmaxers. It's been a learning experience.

What I don't understand is why are Front Runners so shit on this particular course? It seemed impossible to make a good one so I had to settle on a pace chaser + end closer/two debuffers.

Front Runners currently has worse accels than other strategies. Pace can run Taiki/Maruzen. Late/End can run Taiki/Ryan/and even Maruzen.
And on raw numbers, other strategies has better conversion rates to meters gained compared to Front Runners.

Wait until Seiun is released, then Front Runners start being meta. Especially after Summer Maruzen and Valentine Bourbon is released. Christmas Oguri/Summer Maruzen/Valentine Bourbon trio wrecks almost every CM.

Yes. In PVP accel skill is god. But accel skill needs to activate in the right time to get the best result (right before the last spurt). So different tracks will give you different results. Because team trials have different tracks each time, you can't rely on accels.

Taiki/Maru/Ryan unique is good in current CM since it has the best timing activation for the track. For next CM Taishin is the best since she has gold accel skill that has the best timing activation.
The thing with Christmas Oguri is also her unique. She activates her unique after she activates recov skill three times, so you can mix and match recov skill to change the unique timing activation, making her OP in most tracks.

I liked Brian's career. Anyone know what the variance is with the second half of her schedule? I won the initial triple crown so it put me down the good G1 race gauntlet, not sure what changes.

What about Triumphant Pulse? It seems to be giving Oguri's the leg up over everyone else right now. That's why I inherited it and my pace is doing much better. Mejiro Ryan's I haven't seen much of, but it seems like even Golshi's ability and Rice Showers arent that bad to put on your pace either, but I have no idea really.

What are some good abilities for end closers in particular? I think I've got my pace chaser figured out but Im working on a last minute golshi. Seems like Maru's ability is still good on her. I have a grass wonder at 3 star which I don't know if hers is any good but I'm just experimenting with stuff now. Triumphant Pulse has consistent activation on last spurt, and even better duration and increase than Homestretch Haste, so it's always good to take, better in shorter races.

Good skills are mostly different for different tracks. But for End Closers, the End Closers Straightaways/Corners and Slipstream is always good. Taiki/Ryan/Maru unique is good for most Medium (since most medium has their last spurt on the final corner). Straightaway Spurts (from HishiAma Pow SR) is good for most Long.

They never nerfs, but older units will be buffed. Some of them will get accels on their uniques. And later updates will allow you to evolve inherent gold skills (like Go-Home Specialist for Golshi) into what we call Pink Skills. So later on how meta an uma is, is mostly decided by their unique and Pink Skills combination.

Well Cygames need to powercreep so people will buy, so that's one way to do it. But we're talking about Cygames who can't balance shit, where the newest scenario powercreeped all the others by making it easy to max every stats. But you still have Taiki/Ryan/Seiun uniques that is still meta even today. And Christmas Oguri's unique still has the best meter gained among all other uniques.

I just remembered that Taiki's unique is somewhat nerfed. Its activation is changed so it's good on fewer courses, but the acceleration value is higher.

Doing better in random rooms, but it's clear A-medium umas, no matter how good the stats/abilities are going to lose to S medium Umas if they have the right stats/abilities. That extra 10% in speed is pretty huge. It's just hard to get all of them in alignment. Tachyon has a 20% boost on speed naturally and you're going to train speed most of the time anyway so stamina and power is better. If you sprinkle one or two 3* speed somewhere it would be great because your speed cards arent very leveled up. Aim for 800-900 stamina with maestro

Nope it's just RNG. None of the umas have less or more mood down events. Some of them do have trainee events that increase mood outside of the shared ones which does make their RNG better.
Goldship has a unique mood + energy up in the form of the training restriction so she's actually in a better place than most.

The game can sometimes seem super heavy handed in how it fucks with you. You can just have days where every single run fails to give you maestro, or your super high speciality prio deck just dissapears from stam/speed in senior year or you get a run with 6+ mood downs etc

For this track I'd say anywhere in the 800-1000 + Swinging Maestro is a good place to be, which basically adds another 100 on. I don't think you need to go past a 1,000 and layer tons and tons of abilities. A lot of the Oguri Caps are doing Maestro + Gourmand though, which is another strong healing ability, I see them hovering above 800 around 1000+. The lower your stamina the more you have to rely on your abilities, which don't always activate. You don't wanna be below 700 I would say, 750 assuming you also have a big heal skill like Swinging Maestro. Just try to get above 800 if you can. It's relatively easy if you just borrow MLB super creek and have one extra stamina card + inherit some stamina from parents

Golshi's not as much to worry about as the pace chasers. High 800s wit is fine enough to proc the abilities frequently. I got to 1200 on a different one so it can be finnicky, having real bad luck with wit rainbows.
