It is absolutely dmc clone, which is why you've arbitrarily thrown all these games into the completely made up genre of "character action". Bayonetta is just DMC with really dumbed down routing thanks to the available evasive maneuvers in the game, which a much worse character design. It feels good to play Nero in DMC5, it's a mechanically interesting character, whereas Bayo may as well be a popsicle stick with no popsicle.

It's kinda mediocre. Like its not even in my top 50 fps, I unironically think serious sam second encounter is more fun to replay, thats how low the bar is. It's very casual, and leans into atmosphere over level design and gameplay. Something to be experienced rather than won. And even then, the only cool part was the stuff with the invisible dudes.
