My first run I chose Pyra just because I was more endeared to her and I felt she got a shitty hand being the dumpster for all the regret Mythra didn't want to deal with.

But after the context of Torna DLC and knowing why Mythra is the way she is, I chose Mythra. And while I still have a lot of pity for Pyra, I have equally as much pity for Mythra. Mythra created Pyra to be everything that she's not. Mythra is blunt and militant, Pyra is warm and motherly. Mythra can't cook, Pyra is a chef. So to hear everyone say that they prefer Pyra over Mythra for everything outside of the mechanical game makes me feel bad because it's confirming that Mythra is indeed a weapon and no one wants to be around her as a person. She was right to replace herself with Pyra. And that's a shit feeling.

Mor Ardain has a policy of recruiting people from nations they've conquered, not just to plus up their numbers but it also quiets rebellion by inspiring loyalty to MA. Especially since MA provides wages and service to those within their ranks. How does suddenly having access to an entire planet change that? Mor Ardain is already on shaky ground in Gormott, especially after they crushed the former capital of White Chair. And while the younger generation of Gormott is sympathetic to Mor Ardain, the older generation hates their fucking guts. So will MA suddenly have to deal with renewed rebellions as the Ardainian army is suddenly stretched thin trying to both expand outwards and maintain control over their colonies? What about Uraya? They were primed for war before and while Queen Raqura backed off after the summit in Indol, the troops still wanted to fight. If Mor Ardain's instability is made plain by Torigoth, would Uraya take the high road and leave them alone, or take the opportunity to nip at their heels. Tora recognized how the average Urayan felt about the Ardainians and preemptive strikes. I like Emperor Niall but he has a lot on his plate
