This kind of thing happens a lot. It's like how Mythra begins to relate Rex with Addam. And so not only does she usurp control from Pyra, she sleepwalks into Rex's bed while they're resting at a hotel. They both wake up. They realize they're in the same bed. Mythra kneejerk reacts as if Rex snuck into her bed. Then when Rex tells her she's in the male sleeping area and she was the one who walked in on him, Mythra storms out in embarrassment. Mythra is a lot. But I give her grace because I know why she is the way she is

Well mostly because of Rex's optimism. Mythra, and by extension Pyra, kind of gave up on life after the Fall of Torna. By that point the Aegis saw themselves as a dangerous weapon that should not exist. So for Rex to show up and say he not only believes in them, and finding the strength to take on their guilt, and remind them there's still hope to extend the life of Alrest itself. You can't blame Mythra for being impressed by him.

Everything about XC2 rests squarely in the "I can't believe Nintendo let that slide" category. Even if Monolithsoft is allowed to goon again, Pyra and Mythra will always be the first

I mean Mythra does at least want to be that. It's just that Pyra is a beacon of love as natural as she breathes while Mythra struggles with that

I didn't care for Mythra at first. I was extremely angry when Mythra admitted she invented Pyra to use as a human shield for all the emotions and horrors that she just didn't want to deal with, and Pyra just weakly protesting with

>... that's not fair

But as the game continued I softened up on her. Mythra is similar to Malos in the sense that she's a hammer living among nails. 500 years ago she had zero compunctions about using her orbital death ray on just randoms. She was about to atomize Brighid for being mildly annoying to her. But by the time she meets Rex, it's clear that she's so afraid that she won't use Siren unless she's entirely out of options. But because she was made for war, like Malos, she can't just admit weakness. So it translates into her being a tsundere bitch for half the game until she loses that too. She grows which a lot of JRPG characters don't really do.

Thing is I'm pretty new to the series so everything is interesting to me right now. Like I just started Golden Country so I'm sure I'll learn of it in time, the game's been really good about answering questions, but I'm curious how people know about The Architect prior to Amalthus returning with the Aegis Core Crystals? Because The Architect functionally started life over again from scratch and it didn't seem like The Architect bothered interacting with people. I understand them being curious about The World Tree but at Golden Country's start, Indol and knowledge of The Architect seems to predate Malos descending to fuck up Alrest. This isn't me saying PLOT HOLE DING. Moreso I'd at least like to discuss the game itself for what I know. But it seems like there's a lot of personal shit that I'm just not privy to.

So i think I'm at the end of xenoblade 2. But I've been distracting myself with quests and filling out Blade affinity charts.

Why can't I just finish my games?
