You can find edge cases that sorta look like true damage before then, maybe even clear examples of it, but Engage is the one that purposefully introduced the idea that there will be flat damage skills that will always deal a fixed amount of damage. Emblems have a separate Engage function that allows you to add OP buffs to your other units' Special skill, like reduced cooldown, damage based on speed, etc. Sigurd also increases move range and gives canto, Celica lets you warp five tiles away, Lyn lets you snipe five tiles away, etc.
Unsurprisingly, they're the only popular Engage units aside from the two Ivy units they made years ago.

I know this is bait, but alot of Andaron Saga's map design wasn't GBA era. The game has plenty of hard turn limits or will send kill squads for going slow. That isn't true for the GBA titles where some maps you really can take your time if you aren't concerned with rankings.

I was even introduced to her Awakening self first and absolutely loved her, even married and put a baby in her, but after playing some of the old games, I can´t help but really dislike the retcons and mishandling of both the world of Archanea and Tiki in Awakening in general, which sadly made me like her less than I used to at one point.
