If I were a whale I would run Taishin end closer + whale up on Seiun Sky and do two front runners. Why? Because Taishin's biggest weakness is the Urara cheese strat, but that ONLY works if Urara is the only front runner in the race, and it's only meant to target Taishin. Seiun Sky is also so strong that you could actually have your front runners possibly steal the show from your own Taishin. It would be incredibly strong, and nobody would be targeting debuffs on front runners either. Obviously it would be very time intensive, but that would be the counter Urara strategy for whale Taishin.

Borrowing a direct parent would really slow you down, but for grandparents you can kidn of bake in borrows and that will make your non borrow runs more efficient. Definitely King Halo and Nice Nature. King Halo of course for being heartbreaking the moment you learn more about her. As for Nice Nature, I just thought she seemed really boring. Minimize rests(ideally you want 4-5 rests per campaign with most of them being in summer camp) and use WIT training and recreation to restore energy.
