So the play for a game like this (Japunese, stingy, spark banners) is actually to play as little as possible and collect all the free gibs from logging in and daily races for about 6-9 months. You really shouldn't care about a lot of this because sparks and support sharing gets buffed a lot the longer the game is out. If you are trying to get anything close to many of the umas you see on this site without paying or doing a lot of meta rerolls it's just not going to happen very often if at all. Take it slow and play the long game.
You win by logging in for a year when other quit after a few months. Eventually you catch up and will have lots of selection from rolling banners. But until then any attempt to speed yourself up is really a self-brick.

I’m trying to get the long URA finale trophy with Goldship, is it okay to keep her as an end closer for long races or should I try using her as a pace chaser? I assume I’ll need to use a bit more stamina for long races as is so I wasn’t sure

How much of a difference do meta umas actually make in this game? Like I see people saying the next thing to save for is Christmas Oguri after Kitasan Black, but is it really necessary?
