sorta, though the trick in most fights is "use your weaver technique" which doesn't quite work against his adds because the crawling bugs and the big bugs don't die in 1 hit, and have annoyingly long invincibility frames on their attacks

I'm really not sure. By the time I returned it was a while after wandering around in Act 2. To the point that I found half the fleas in the game and saved Kratt. It's too broad to speculate on. But they did already set a precedent of skipping Greymoor. I could see them skipping Blasted Steps as well. Comfy is the game being casual enough that I can soak in the atmosphere and feeling of the game without having to stress over mechanics all the time. I'm not actually asking for bosses to be easier, I just don't like traversal being so difficult being basic enemies have special combos and take 10 hits to kill, while spikes and vines deal 40% of my HP over platforming sections that are White Palace tier difficult.

As someone who crawls every nook and cranny after every upgrade get I can tell you following about the double jump and I think this is the earliest point you can go for it is as soon as act 2 after cogwork dancers and claw line since you can just traverse the area then.

Silksong is a another case of a sequel to a game (Hollow Knight) which the developers didn't understand why people loved.

They think it is the sweaty platforming as in white palace and the late tryhard bossfights but in reality it was everything that came before that.

Silksong is just a high difficulty DLC to Hollow Knight and they never should have turned it into a new game. There is nothing new in Silksong.

I have the same issue, I don't use the red tools for 70% of the time till I struggle with something, use them to make it a lot easier. Wonder why I don't use them more often, then don't use them afterwards.
Same with the charged up attack in general and the needle throw against fliers.
