As we can see, art imitates life.
Some people will never wake up because they do not want to. Do whatever you want, just make this life seem normal, and anyone who messes with that is crazy.
As Mr. Fischoeder stated in Bob's Burger season 1 episode 13, "People come to the amusement park to be entertained. They do not want to see what's behind the curtain." This was said after Bob Belcher wanted to expose a cheating baseball player to Mr. Fischoeder. As you can imagine, Mr. Fischoeder knew the entire time, and his wharf was nothing more than a rigged event. However, he was correct; people did not care, and will not care as long as you give them stability and happiness.
"They have eyes, but cannot see."
Useless people, as the elite would brand them.
Wesker was right peopleand we are living in a moment. Chris made an error and Wesker was correct, haha.
Seriously, perhaps his world would have been better than the one we are about to enter. There are still cover-ups, viruses, outbreaks, and other issues. Wesker knew it would never end. Perhaps he should remain alive in the RE5 remake.
Since humanity tampered with the fallen angels, humans have had a thirst for control. Our inclination to pursue warlike tactics and subjugate one another is explained in the book of Enoch.
It will never end.
Which is why I believe Wesker should be the ultimate villain in order to provide the series' characters with a temporary alliance and motivation to battle. He refused to submit to the established order, which is why even the corporations wanted his ass gone.
Like today's elite, Spencer aspired to continue governing indefinitely and to establish a manner of life that would last forever. When you have so much power and influence over everything. Why would you allow death and aging to stop you when you can change the world with a single snap of your finger? Even if it means sacrificing your humanity, you would find a way to accomplish that.
