I have no education and no capacity for education, so I could never get a desk job or a corpo job. I was doomed to fast food and retail, forever. That or doing RMT on MMO's or being a "pro gaymur" hoping to win faggy local tournaments for scraps.
I "work" 15 minutes a day and make 3k to 20k a month depending on if I cover and major popular games and not free to play phone mmo slop. I could go afk for 6 months and still generate 2-3k a month from my old videos. I know channels that do "actual" work and make 6x what I do, and do all the work "cram" style where they just mass upload 20 videos a day on a new release game then disappear for 4-6 months till the next big release.
I "pass my days recording" yeah, playing a video game, which I was already going to do anyway, except now I get paid to do it.
What personal life? Never had one. Never had friends. Yeah I get people that make drama videos. I find them funny. I never had a personal life so that's not a problem. There are creators 50x smaller than me that hire third world editors to ease the "pain" of youtubing, except I'm so refined and fast that I do it as I record most of the time and so it's pretty much:
1) Play game while recording and talking.
2) Do edits as I record it live.
3) Bind all the recordings into a video and render.
4) Tag/title/thumbnail (or use AI to do it for me)
5) Profit for weeks / years depending on the video, competition, and game life-span.
This is infinitely better than being a wagie that does a task for bossman, only to get paid ONCE rather than consistently.
Every single video I make for a game that doesn't immediately die continues to generate revenue until it dies or the video topic is so outdated no one can use it.
