Most pro Fortnite players are American; the biggest earner in Fortnite is American and Americans have claimed a quarter of all competitive earnings.
Same for apelegs, except a third of the earnings.
Same for Smite, except almost half the earnings.
Same for CoD and Halo, except over half the earnings.
Rocket League is dominated by Americans, Saudis and French.
The highest or second highest player on every chess site is American.
The majority of Smash, UNIEL and DBFZ pro players are American. Everyone knows the biggest Melee earner is American.
Marvel vs. Capcom looks like it's only played by Americans, there's no point in even doing the math, it's basically 100%.
And now I'll just list all the other games where an American is the biggest earner:
>Minecraft
>Pokemon Unite
>Quake Champions
>Gears of War
>H1Z1
>Brawlhalla
>Street Fighter V
>various sports games
Americans show up in every list of the biggest earners for every game unless it's some Asian mobile bugman shit. 11 of the top 25 earners in Strive, and I probably don't need to mention the one black furry who wins every NRS game tournament.
On the one hand, I want to agree with you, because some countries are so dominant at certain games, like Japan and Sweden, that I always feel embarrassed to be American when watching them. But then on the other hand, a lot of countries just don't play most genres, while America shows up everywhere I look. And I can't pretend that America doesn't win anything: an American is one of the few people to win TI twice, everyone knows HungryBox and SonicFox, etc. But then you might respond that it's a per capita or race thing, but then the numbers get even messier, where are all the Norwegian pro gamers? Why is it the one Chinese guy from France the only pro fighting game player from France that I know? The only Spaniard is like Lebanese or some shit?
I don't know, it just sounds to me like you're probably living in a glass house, anon.
