I went to the Terrifier haunted house at Universal HHN and it was pretty cool. I'd never been in a haunted house/maze before, nor had I seen the movies (I'm a massive pussy). I didn't like getting scared but the set design and props were pretty incredible.

I went and watched the movies after and they honestly aren't that scary. They're just ultraviolent cartoons.

Halloween in particular is more like a psychological thriller than a slasher movie, in the same vein as its biggest influence Psycho.
