That's just kind of a typical real world problem. There's a lot of symbols and logos that are annoyingly similar, especially if it's for organization that have some kind of relation and therefore a reason to use the same symbolic elements. It probably causes plenty of problems in the Imperium too, but you'd have to wage a literal crusade and cost the GDP of multiple hive worlds to get something like that changed.

Moving 200+ years into the future should be certain death for nearly everyone in the 40K setting. Old figureheads should be replaced with new ones and great enough heroes should be honored as fallen legends.
Post 7th edition Herohammer has completely ruined the passage of time, being a hundred years old is now like turning 30, most of that time is spend on downtime chilling on a ship or getting timeline shifted by the warp, constant warfare is gone from the setting. In old lore if a marine had a hundred years of service that meant he had been actively fighting for at least 90 of those years, now that same marine has seen like 4 battles
Remember how Dante was special for being a thousand years old? Now we have a decent amount non-marines humans at that age, multiple space marines that made it past a thousand years and some "human" characters that completely mog him by being 10k+ years old
Time doesn't weigh on anyone's shoulders in 40K and the means to escape natural death keep growing in number and potency
