its called role playing. Skyrim is too easy if you minmax it as well, you have to limit yourself or combat becomes stupid and boring. The difference between skyrim and morrowind is morrowind allows for more role playing.
If i want to make a warlock roleplay playthrough using summons and DOTs in morrowind then i can do that, adding a 30 second duration requirement for all damage spells changes the game up a bit, it doesnt make it super hard but it plays a little differently.
If i want to make a spell caster that steals physical stats before killing warriors with a staff i can do that too, spells that steal strength/agility can be very strong.
If I want to make a speech craft thief guy who uses non combat skills i can gain 20 levels just doing town stuff, then pay a master swordsman to train me after (you cant even do this in skyrim without mods)
You are limited to very narrow archetypes and play styles in skyrim where you need to not combine crafting professions or you get too strong and just 1 shot everything, but you cant be full bard/speech craft early game or enemies will quickly outpace you in levels and you cant pay trainers to catch you up you would have to cheese the game and use conjuration or power level a crafting profession before you started combat again (or just turn the game to very easy mode as a "solution"
