Melee attacks having a chance of missing when everything else seems to work fine is a game breaking feature and is utterly disgusting to tolerate. Casting can only fail if something is too high a level or you don't have enough mana. The disparity of effectiveness rubs your face in how irritating the *missed* sound is.
It doesn't matter that you can increase a skill to basically turn the feature off. It's fucking retarded. It's just an absolutely dumb as fuck mechanic. It's indefensibly stupid and annoying. It's almost universally hated. I have even seen Morrowindfags admit it's a silly stonewall for new players when everything else is so much more intuititve and welcoming.

No Morrowindfag can accept this. The world around them is totally inconceivable to them.
The melee combat ruins the game. Period. No arguments.

I replayed the original a year ago with a lot of mods and didn't experience any kind of massive performance or bug issues to speak of.

This is a problem, i'd consider it if it had better mod support but I definitely don't want less mod support.

I've heard it also runs on phones or something which seems like a gimmick i'd never be interested in.
Overall it sounds like a lot of shit I don't need with little/no major benefit and loss of mods being a huge drawback.
Maybe I'll check again in a few years.
