After spending the night playing Vane I am not sure I'm cut out for any type of zoner, but this one seems fun. I think I need to get better at using 5U. Honestly it's a high bar, it will be hard for them to clear it.

I appreciate the answers and want to take the opportunity to lament about something that might be related to it.
I think my preferred playstyle is to be more on the reactive side, watching my opponent and calling out mistakes or predictable moves. Or in other words: I like to snipe them across the screen via blue jumpscares. And gravitate towards characters that can support this playstyle.
But in this game with so many plus on whiff moves and gorilla characters, that often leads to me giving up initiative and finding myself on the defensive immediately while they run their gameplan on me. Which can lead to some tilt and impatience on the defensive.
Efforts are made to recognize their gameplan and shut it down.
But often it feels like they just completely disrespect me while hardly respect anything I do, and there is not much I can do about it but take it.

Most recently I was having a lot of trouble against Charlotta, so I tried to stay back and watch the character and try to think what I could do against her.
Big mistake.
I ended up being too passive, downbacking too much, giving up too much space, I was too focused on his character that I forgot to play myself.
I made the matchup 10 times harder without even realizing.
Of course, it wasn't all useless, I learned a good deal, but the main lesson I took from it was... to not be a spectator.

Still a big fan of post-metal, atmospheric black metal, the occasional death metal and doom metal. Right now, listening to Anaal Nathrak (fucking love this brutal yet melodic band).
Love me some electro, especially the nostalgia 80's new wave stuff.
Post rock is another big love. Occasionally listening to alternative bands (especially japanese bands). I also really like the works of Utsu-P or various Touhou-related metal bands.
Haven't listened to much classic lately. Really like some neoclassic works, like Olafur Arnalds.
And yes, many video game soundtracks for sure. Risings OST gets me pumped, all these high energy tracks that mix symphonic elements with guitars, drums and bass.
In general, love energetic, fast and powerful music that still has good melodies.

I was a paramedic for a few years, it was a mixed bag. Some of the people I worked with were great and I forged lifelong friendships due to the nature of the job. Other people, mostly women, are similar to nurses but being out of the hospital makes them more manageable. I really fell in love with prehospital medicine but the reality of the job is that 95% of the calls you get are going to be things you wonder why they even called you in the first place. The other 5% are really interesting and fun ones but you have to be careful because PTSD can sneak up on you real quick.
Speaking from experience, most paramedics / EMTs have some flavour of autism with sprinkles of type A/B personalities so be prepared for that.
