1. Clear the camp
2. Great Church for weapon + evergaol key (most important)
3. Evergaol (if it's a strong enemy, I'll just walk away)
4. Church

7. There's a lot of easy and quick things here so I'll try to clear as much as I can while making way my way to the church

Beat the the Dark Horseman twice today with a friend. I easily prefer him over the Dark Dragon. Horse gets basically a new moveset, while new Dragon is just a gimmick and a knowledge check with barely anything new.

I got that layout+starting point like three times yesterday. Every time we just did the starting camp and then gaol (at level 2) with no issues.
Only ones that really fuck you up are godskin duo/ancient dragon/dragonkin soldier
I usually only try to steer us to the castle once we're level 6. Not sure what the actual level scaling/soft caps look like but that's around the level I've been able to comfortably clear castles with (aside from rooftop boss and basement bbh. you also can't really eat troll pots at that range but its not a big deal if you're picking them off and holding aggro correctly)

I usually just make basic assumptions by looking at the weapon damage and the weapon type since your swing speed and combo is based on the weapon type

Look at the codex for 5 minutes and eventually your small brain should pick up on patterns. There are like 5 exemptions to the rules in terms of scaling, typically in legendaries but try to keep them in your small brain as you go on adventures with us.
If this is too much of a struggle for your small brain there is a number on screen which tell you how much owchies you’ll inflict with that weapon.

Evergaol relic is a meme. There are 3 common outcomes with it:
You plan to do as many as possible as a premade team from the start and it's good.
You become THAT guy who insistently pings gaols and key forts the entire fucking match when your teammates want to go do castle and red bosses.
You used a whole relic slot for the ~10% damage from the incidental and convenient gaols along the way.

Shifting Earths will also result in getting less gaols done on average due to there being less gaols on the map and most of Day2 being dedicated to doing the Shifting Earth.

He's also way tankier than Recluse and Duchess, on top of having the dog.

just had the most horrible run in this games history. Revenant and Ironeye players are subhuman garbage and should be shot dead on the spot. So I checked it out. Duchess does 304 with a full charged Lightning Spear and Recluse does 382 with a fully charged Lightning Spear. Pretty substantial difference. Restage definitely helps even the playing field a bit though.

Strength weapons are straight up superior in fromsoft games because they do a lot of poise damage and give you poise while swinging. In the main games this is balanced out by giving you equip load and huge strength requirements to worry about, both of which NR doesn't have.

Well the dark bosses are harder and my anecdotal randoms from the past 3 games have been casuals compared to my games with you guys. I don’t even hate them for it, I mean I get why they don’t wanna do relic lotto and all that, but I’m just too used to doing stuff like pinging an unmarked boss on the map because I know it’s there, only for the randoms to go to the cave under it. Then we get to the nightlord, often at level 13 or 14 and not 15, and they’ll both be triple bar’d by the midway point because phase 2 Fulghor is still hard for a lot of people and there’s a good chance it’s their first time seeing phase 3, so it’s me chipping away at the boss for a while until I get knocked or we win. This isn’t even getting into how the runs just feel less fun overall now. Players don’t spam block or do gestures or anything. They’ll really want to do evergaols because that’s what’s in now, which isn’t just a random thing. I’ve just been spoiled by playing with ERG, it’s not even about the wins, its just about how we win.

There's really no character I really like in Nightreign.
Raider is gay.
Executor is a nigger.
Playing female characters is for trannies.
Guardian is the coolest looking in my opinion, and has some very sick skins. Though unortunately he is miserable to play.
Ironeye lore is edgy so I like it, but I don't like the appearence of any of his skins and the greatbow of his ultimate art doesn't make any sense so it flares up my autism. Why use ropes instead of a mechanism? Don't they know how bows work?
So in the end the only character I actually play is Wylder because he "seems" the most normal, but I still don't like him for various reasons.
Truly only DLCman can save this game.
