I've never actually tested whether it full heals someone after you revive them using the ult, but it is pretty antisynergistic otherwise since people will likely be getting hit during ult. It's useful for forcefully proccing a bunch of damage at low hp % if you want to do that, but even then its 50% of your bar and you need to drop to 35% or below.
In general allies buff > ghostflame > family buff > heal
Family buff can usually be subbed out for other damagey lines, but it isn't a deadline
