I've been playing a lot of Arena lately and having a ton of success with Mage. It's currently ranked mid tier and I think that may be a mistake.

This Arena format seems to be all about Tempo and Discover and Mage has a lot of the best tools to get on the board and stay on the board. Tide Pools and all the other Discover cards are so flexible as they grab you Tempo, tailored removal or face damage as needed.

The Legendary pool with Manafeeder (the guy who transforms your spells into higher cost version but keep their original cost) has been nuts for me, in this format it's easy to load your hand with a bunch of mediocre spells.

The 4 mana remove from game spell has a lot of juicy targets in this format, particularly the 4 mana deathrattle tar guy, but it's also really great against the top tier classes like DK and DH, as well as priest.

Arena bros, you need to be playing mage.

nta, but first we used to farm Mercenaries PVE games, where you start a fight, AFK or close the game for 29 minutes, before finishing the fight for maximum XP. when you did that for 8 hours per day you could and many did max the reward track, which gave you about 22k gold per expansion.

later on they 'nerfed' the XP gain from Mercenaries, but ironically made it better for the more dedicated AFK gods, because we found out that there is an exploit in Solo adventures, which gave XP too and could be COMPLETELY automated with mobile device emulators like LDplayer. Which meant that with simple scripts we reliably automated the entire AFK loop for dozens of hours per day and get away with it.
not sure if it's still possible because it's been a year since I stopped playing.

How to remake constructed to make it fun.
You are only matched against players of your exact ranks.
There are win and loss streaks that add or remove additional stars.
You no longer have cushions at certain ranks, if you lose many games you will lose ranking but if you win at least once you will be immediately at the highest rank you have achieved for the month.
Restructuring rewards.
Ten wins in constructed give 100 gold and a pack.
This scales accordingly. Meaning 20 wins 200 gold and 2 packs and so on and so forth.
After a new season starts, you start from scratch, no longer additional bonus stars based on your previous rank.
This will remove the fomo factor which indirectly forces many players to reach diamond 5, even if they don't enjoy the game because they do not want to be left back next month when they will not have bonus stars.

Someone explain why rotating every set every year doesn‘t objectively improve the game. That lets them start from fresh and set a power level that they aim for that they then powercreep a little with the next 2 expansions and then reset again instead of the way it is right now where they have to powercreep 3 expansions from the last year with their first expansion already. Loh was a meta deck, scam Warlock is horrible. It's miserable to play and will filter anyone other than people who really like playing it, like me. You're going to lose over half you games simply by not drawing the cards you need to pull off the combo, or by drawing the cards you need to stay in your deck. Well I am genuinely retarded in fact. I have two big threats which are the motherships, which will usually get promptly dealt with, hexed or silenced or otherwise significantly reduced. The idea is to get sentries, revive them, and get protoss minions super cheap so the ones that the mothership refills me can be played easily. But it feels like the motherships can only come out against control and at that point they can easily manage the two or three boards I can refill with them, and against aggro because I need to get so much stuff going before they usually just hit my face to death, and I have no board clears and my best trading pieces are a 3/3 and a 3/2 with rush.

The good protoss priest does not even use Umbra. They use the 5 mana card that brings back a 1,2,3 mana card with reborn. That is almost as good as umbra ontop of adding tempo.
