Yugioh is a game all about dishonesty. It's been in the game's nature from the start. It's all about pulling out the secret trick up your sleeve that the opponent didn't see coming, and how actually I have a force-field so your gun didn't hit me.
Worrying about "Ermmm that card breaks the rules because it says it can do something good!" is just cope for scrubs who get caught off guard by decks they don't know, or continually lose to the same decks because they're bad.

If an effect says "You can only use the effect of "CARD NAME" once per turn", then the game remembers that you've already used the effect of a card with that name so it doesn't matter that it's a new monster. If it only says "You can only use this effect once per turn." then it's specific to that monster and you'll be able to use it again.
The former is what people call a hard once per turn, while the latter is called a soft once per turn.

Unironically yes. Every play, and subsequently every misplay, is the basis of information gathering, speculation and observation. You learn your own limits, and in the meantime, you can watch others play and learn different decks and their weakpoints with enough experience. That's all knowledge is, testing and experience. I went so far as to make a blind going second deck and packed it with meta relevant hand traps so I could learn how to beat other decks while being able to add and remove anything that doesnt reach the same consistent endboard.

If you don't collect at all and don't buy the pass until your level 100, you get all your gems back +90 UR dust, I just the whole pass before I purchase it. I think an argument can be made that you could buy it at level 75 or even 50 because of the ~50ish UR dust you can get out of it, theoretically that's worth 2 10 pulls worth of guaranteed URs, at least numerically. But that's also up to the player, really, to decide how much UR dust is worth. Some players have boatloads of it, some have none.

I'm being serious. Perhaps it's cause I never liked Spright, so I completely skipped on building it, even when it was meta, but it was something I never ran into.

I only ever invested into Elf cause I knew the interaction in that you could revive Merrli on your opponent's turn for an extra 3 mill for additional resources or fusion plays. And it was more of a neat thing you could do, which sometimes helped, and sometimes was a total dud. That's why it's so weird to me people get scared of Merrli+Elf, because none of their interaction seemed game breaking of you played it as Tears. Maybe it's cause I played Tears more midrange style, rather than pouring everything into a mega combo end board. But that's just me.

Still, I don't fully understand what a Spright Tearlaments end board looks like, so I have a hard time judging of it's REALLY that insane compared to today's meta. Decks that merge like this really aren't that uncommon.

Fiendsmith, Chimera, Snake-Eyes, Azamina, White Forest, Toy Box, etc... etc.... all feel like they pull off equally ridiculous nonsense in how the different decks bridge into each other, just from a cursory thought. Like a Chimera Azamina Fiendsmith board is ridiculous in the amount of stuff it puts of the board off a single Nightmare Apprentice. So I do wonder if Spright Tearlaments really is that bad or not. The Spright End board really isn't that crazy these days. What difference does it make if you throw a Lulukalos, and a Kaleidoheart with the usual Tear suite end board into the mix?

Can you say that yugioh changed stylistically? Yes but do you really expect yugioh not to change with the times? And Takahashi was aware of this considering he made the fruit magician girls and recent support of older archetypes from DM with his art came with a "waifu" support as well. It's not like modern yugioh doesn't try to remind true to what yugioh was and looked like you can see that with the MANY grotesque, cool and down right strange monsters still released to this day. granted they may not good but they're there.(If you think about it the roles of "waifu" cards from the past and cool monsters from the past reversed lol) Not only that but if you don't notice the "waifu" cards of today still has the yugioh identity(more defined features, grounded proportions,etc) in them as they don't look like normal anime and are way less moe then your average anime woman that's why you can always tell when a card is from yugioh. Apollousa is very annoying if you don't have Imperm, but their endboard is a predictable mix of two Link monsters + Crypter and Binder in the GY.

I'd suggest bumping Book of Moon to 3. It's nice insulation against veiler/imperm. I'd also suggest 3 Dancing Leaves. While Multiplication is the higher impact trap, it requires you to draw it alongside a higher level ninja. Dancing Leaves can combo with a low level ninja or with Book of Moon/Eclipse.
You can consider another Jioh since Dancing Leaves only summons from deck, but I don't like it. You can also consider another Kagero if you want to cross fingers for two card combos. Or just get some good cards from the bundles like Ash Blossom+Imperm to fill out your deck.

Extra deck caps at 15 max. You don't really need 3 Saizo. 2 is fine. Also Giant Spright isn't very useful without Elf or Zeus and probably Downerd. Cursed Javelin is just kinda bad. If you're in position to use it you should probably just OTK by attacking directly. I personally don't like the Moth for the same reason, but it's very cool and some people like it.

Once you get some more extra deck staples, you should cut that down to just 2 copies ideally.

Nib is a very good handtrap as it tributes face up monsters, so you may not always blow out your own board and ninja's have means to remove it or attach directly.

Daruma cannon is good as not only is it "removal" for links and towers, but is slows the opponent down and dancing leaves can remove the monsters as well. This is a lower priority for crafting, but if you build any trap deck in the future, it does a long way.

A spicy tech; you can also use hop ear squadron as a shield bearer target to do synchro plays on your opponents turn. Is it good, that's questionable, but it's a tech.

MDM doesn't list Mimighoul Fork as a used card, but the effect seems decent enough to run. However, MDM also shows the use of Chaos Hunter and Lancea at 3, which leads me to believe at the moment the current meta dictates that counter cards should be played and are likely the reason it shows the way it does on MDM.
My question is; is it more important to run the relevant hand traps to the point that we forgo in archetype tech cards?

You genuinely only need 1 of each if you're going to run it just as an engine in a synchro deck, even then you don't NEED emblema or the Primera synchro, technically. The field spell is the strongest card, gets you access to the engine just fine without Emblema Oath. 3 field spell, 1 Primera, Trudea, Gargoyle, 1 Auxilla + Crimson Dragon is enough to summon Cosmic Blazar on opponents turn, though at the cost of follow up. But as an engine, that can be pretty decent, and you can run Bonds as a just in case. The only reason you'd run anything more is if you're looking for stronger follow up or trying to synchro climb through synchro 8s
