This only happened to me a couple times in hundreds of hours but it was kino as fuck and it will never happen again, because now you either stim immediately after a chest injury (which you would have done before the change anyway) or die in seconds. I understand why they changed it but I'm not a huge fan, I wish we'd bleed out slower.

New player here, just got to level 5, mostly running around bug sector just getting familiar with the game. I’ve been using light armor since it lets me move faster, but are there any specific stratagems, armor, or weapons I should go after? I purchased the Gatling turret, EAT-17, the Redeemer, and the Punisher.

People have recommended you get Democratic Detonation, and for good reason - it's the best, most meta warbond gameplay-wise. However, I'd strongly advise you consider getting the latest warbond for one item only - the Warp Pack. It doesn't outshine the entirety of DD in the heat of battle or anything, but it completely revolutionizes the farming of the premium currency, which is arguably more valuable to a new player than any single gameplay-related item as it (eventually) grants you access to ALL of them.

As others said, strafing run is your friend. And as other said democratic detonation warbond is good and you might consider this your first warbond along steeled veterans. It has 4 weapons and 3 of them are really good, dominator on bots, breaker incendiary on bugs and senator is a revolver with heavy armor penetration and it's insanely accurate.

I find it really weird that some premium warbonds contain nothing but a single primary and then a bunch of shitty recolors for the hellpods/FRV/mechs

If you get Democratic Detonation you're gonna have a good time but you might not enjoy what you get since you're trading off fast-firing weapons for slow-firing hard-hitters.
I never liked the Eruptor for firing once every business week and I would recommend you stick with filling out the free warbond and using anything you come across from other players instead - the Punisher is outright an S-tier gun alongside the regular Liberator and if you enjoy it you'll enjoy all of its brethren like the Plasma/Cookout variants.
If you want success try the Walking Barrage, it's king and beats out the 120/380 because you don't have to wait it out and can simply wait for the first 3 bombs to land before pushing forward, and isn't as punishing if you fuck up and drop it at your feet.
The MG sentry and the Gatling sentry also have the SAME ammo pool and fire the same bullet, but the MG sentry has a lower cooldown.
There's never anything wrong with not taking a backpack weapon, you can clear d10 with just a barrage, EAT, and two sentries.
Mix and match what you like, the default starting armor is actually insanely good for what it is because you get heavy protection but medium movespeed, so if you feel too weak as a light try them out and you might enjoy them a lot.
Keep picking up dead people's guns to try new things out, feel out the warbonds you want and don't make snap decisions. Sometimes you might have to make a hard one and buy a warbond for one gun (like the Senator) other times you might enjoy an entire bond.

Also, question for the thread. I've only played bots for weeks now. Have POI's disappeared for ALL factions? They don't show on the radar blip or if I wave my mouse around anymore.

Except that one stratagem is basically the most destructive anti-tank measure you can get. many retards dont like the Dominator because of its poor ergonomics and thats it. it doesnt matter how strong it is or its ability to overpen and doesnt have damage drop. having really heavy drag is enough to condemn it.

its one of the best guns in the game and universally good against every faction. arguably the only bad matchup it has is against predator strain but not many guns are good against them either. but you can drop predator and pred stalkers in just a few shots reliably.

Viper Commando armor if you need better ergo with angled foregrip for better ergo between shots, but if you like the burst fire mode, take the vertical grip. when you get good with the dominator and dont need peak physique to be good with it, you can upgrade to siege ready to give you more ammo and faster reloads.

gas does DOT damage like flames do, and they stack together. so gas grenades or gas strike or dog breath + torcher or cookout is a really good combo.

gas wont kill anything but light enemies quickly, but it does still do damage to medium and heavy enemies. many medium enemies can die to gas if they stay in it long enough.

Gas DOT damage used to be much better than fire DOTs but then they nerfed its damage when they gave it the confuse effect so it was a fair tradeoff. Gas grenades, dog breath and orbital gas strike are all really good against bugs and squids. its not as useful against bots but still effective against them especially on berzerker constellations.

gas mines are really good on defensive missions too like rocket defense.

Am I crazy or is the Epoch completely pointless garbage? High risk low reward. Something that takes two shots to kill a heavy should not blow up when you charge it for slightly long. I could understand if it had a "safe mode" which was a two shot kill, and you had the option of over charging it for a one shot kill, but as it is now it's garbage.

I get that the theme of this warbond is janky experimental weapons, but come on. It should at least be good enough to make me want to use it. There wasn't a single moment where I felt rewarded for engaging with and trying to master it's overcharge mechanic. Why would I use this when I can just use the Quasar which won't kill me, doesn't run out of ammunition, doesn't make me stop to reload, and simply requires me to manage its downtime?
