Not him but BP actually does help within a threshold when pushing high diff content, I forget the calculation but somewhere past 25-35k it gets exponentially more difficult (everything gets one shot instantly vs 3-4 shot) and lowering the BP diff past that exact number will allow your units to tank enough hits to pop TAiona + FBella and deal enough damage to kill all the mobs.

she's definitely pretty powerful but team composition wise things are getting a bit crowded. I'm not entirely sold she's more tanky than bella when it comes to delaying long enough to not die since the only option is to drop fbella or seaona/set to have all 3 moons. Running high deficit with only hybrid healers seems like most fights would still kill your girls but I haven't tested it to see if she facetanks everything even without the ult just yet.

She is powerful in terms of allowing easier BP push. But... we lack like what 5% of resources compared to the soft cap of 6k/550? Story pushing units are not needed anymore, you aren't getting any value past ch17.
TAiona was and is the only required unit, maybe one copy of FBella is also nice to have for PvE events (she was given for free)
I'm pretty positive that having 4 dupes limited Ancestors with 40 affinity is much more impactful than acquiring regular SSRs a bit earlier.

I definitely have not min maxed this game, it's crazy seeing you guys all have these huge units.
Any recommendations for team comps for PvP? I find I have two solid teams, and the last team is sort of a throwaway or has no synergy.

Two strong teams win fights and never succeed at defence.
You can manage to stay top 30 with such strat, but never above.
There is certain mindset. You will always lose against capable opponent, your defence is only there to prevent noobs from fucking with you.
Two strong teams equals having no strong teams, because there is no such thing as strong non-TAiona team. You'll defend only if all three of your teams are competitive against non-TAiona's team. Your TAiona's 'strong' team doesn't exist when you defend for obvious reasons.

What are some good comps?
My one team is a Cecia/TNoah/Bella core with SAiona and Acapella, and the other is my Fbella/Seth/Taiona with Fredrick (hellsing is still here too, but he feels bad now). Is there something more optimal? Is Augustine good anywhere? (I randomly got a lot of him the last week, and his pull seems good for PvP offence)

augustine is a hail mary against tiaona because it can displace her and make her ult not hit the whole team with the attack speed down, which doesn't work when you can just move your taiona as the offense. And on offense all assasins trying to snipe her requires the defense team to have her in specific places.

putting vh as your 3rd team dps would work. a bunch of healing and delay characters can make him a very annoying fight as your 3rd string. tnoah with the summon team is good. other anons point about needing your shitters to at least be better than other peoples shitters is somewhat correct, but the guy with two higher bp teams will always steamroll them anyway. having a wildcard like a vh low bp team or a very stacked noah summoner team along with the obligatory tiona nuke makes you a harder target than someone just throwing whatever in their 2 not tiona teams that gives them bp.

You seem like you spend all your good supports and DPSes on your two teams. Is this offense we are talking about? Offense depends on what you are facing against. Tank and healer is picked to counter their DPSes. Damage core is picked to counter their defensive capabilities. There are tools like Augustine that might or might not be useful.
There is no such thing as PvP meta comps, especially when you are not having all the units. I'd assume you don't have third teams tanks and healers, so your first priority is to spread your supports the way you get all three working. Don't ever run VH with TAiona, his 6 BS ult might cost you the fight. If you ever in position where you throw some fodder into your party never pick one with high cost.

Fred is benched at this point, fujo's truly are in shambles when it comes to the game meta. Seaiona is still good on a tiona team due to the shield synergy if you don't have set as the other good healer. Quinn makes the tiaona team a flat skip now, Tami is good/10 for being able to do damage as a tank. Bella with tnoah and cecia is a solid statstick "3rd" team that can kill van helsing.

Anybody can win fights, I can open my game now and get myself the first place for a couple oh hours, offense is not hard. Your actual placement in 3v3 is always determined whether it's easier to kill you or somebody else.
The idea is to be annoying to fight with. That's it. People will open their PvP tab and pick whom to fight, and you also need to understand which is your 'deserved' place, because if aim to high, you only have two opportunities. There is no value in sitting first for 1 hour if other 23 is going to be 7th. Don't waste attempts on something you won't be able to defend, because it's contested by people that will take it.

Where did you get the idea that Quinn is somehow mutually exclusive with other tanks? Especially in PvP. More tankiness is only ever useless against TAiona, other comps have pretty limited damage output, so having Quinn and other good tanks plus a healer would probably make this team unkillable against equal opponents. I would actually run two tanks together if I ever decide to roll her.

Most units use a generic background combined with other set pieces. The generic background is also dynamic and pieced together with several assets since its not a static PNG so I mocked one up real fast for the guide.

I've seen a lot of comps that just forgo the half moon acapella and just run Bella, FBella, TAiona, SAiona, Quinn. But she pretty much allows you to do extremely high diff (~40k) as long as you pop her ult first. I'm on 17-9 now with her, and the lowest BP clear in my group for it is 103k. She's also pretty meta in Gauntlet defense due to her ult being 3 cost. I'm seeing lots of people running defense bait teams with her and SRs with 3 cost ults and TAiona + FBella.

I got Limine on my starting roll and she hard carried me until I got T Aiona. So long as she's hitting enough enemies she can't keep casting her Ult at a reduced cost and enemies are almost always grouped up so it's rarely an issue. For the few stages she didn't work I used Van Hellsing. Now I just use T Aiona for everything. Nice game balance, John Moonton.

No they don't, most people that got TAiona and Quinn were stuck on Chapter 14 and Chapter 15.
When I got TAiona on her first day, I was at Chapter 15, Lorelei was too slow for me so I had to use Pavana, yes you read Pavana, because her 3 cost ult was faster than waiting for Lorelei's 4 basic attacks and her 6 sec sleep doesn't wake enemies at high deficit, giving me time to stall for the Aiona nuke. The only other time I could use Lorelei was in the Darcias stage where you need to sleep everyone and then Lorelei ult the guitar choir fuck to put everyone in long sleep and stop them from shielding.
Other than that, I used Pavana until after 15-7 where Lorelei was usable and more practical again because not everything was an asshole one shot machine but still required larger crowd control because the substages until 15-8 were all 2 front maps so you need Bella on one side and Lorelei on the other getting healed by FBella.
