I pumped up my elemental damage on ein and cindy as high as i could and then just went all in for damage. in the end i couldnt break the slippers in phase 2 so i had to keep ein in cover most of the time in order to save her burst for the true damage. you could also try crown, liter, ein, helm and alice as a team which did let me break the slippers but didn't make the cut damage wise at my level and resources

Can I even beat Mother Whale at 20-30k deficit? (best comp is 15k behind)
I'm kind of maxed, 160 whaled (only have Drake MLB), skills leveled decently, a few OL gear left and right, many maxed R dolls. I don't have the whale-killer nikkes (from what I've gathered) like Dorothy, Rapi RH, Cindy or small white.

The missiles can kill me as I focus either the core or the summon ports, so I can usually only attack with my big dps nikke with the other covered. Then I get destroyed by the boss' attack that scales with the number of raptures alive. I can only put the core at 30-40% before the first waves, then I just don't have enough time to finish it.

I've seen the third wave once somehow. IIRC they took normal damage, but I don't even know how I'm supposed to kill them, maybe sacrifice a taunt and have a B3 wipe ready (I don't think it will be enough), but what about the second wave? I just hope it doesn't use the attack that scales on the number of raptures for the 3rd wave. And by that point, there is like 1:30 remaining.

I've tried to use people's clear comps, I'm below their combat rating by 5-10k, but I fail so there is skill issue too I guess.

Is my only hope to wait months until I finally get the right nikkes for this fight, or until I get max more dolls/drop the right manufacturer part to OL?

When I bursted with Ein early enough it cleared the wave without any issues so yeah I guess it bypassed their 1 hit gimmick. It was the most reliable AoE burst I had at the time.

I don't know. Nikke... things have been pretty bad lately, for the last few months I'd say, or maybe half a year. Not all bad, but mostly bad. Instead of calling Nikke great and fun it's fallen to kind of not bad status. It's like a 4 - 5 /10. Every other gacha is feeling tiring and tedious to play. I just dropped 3 games and I don't even log into them either so they are cut off and dead for good. I think Nikke is in the worst position because I keep hoping things get better but it turns in a direction I don't like. The original GC version of REmake only sold okay, something like 1.25 million copies, I think. So, less than the OG game on the PS1. Like 1/4th of RE2 on the PS1 and even about half of RE3, iirc.
At that point, they'd basically seen a slow drop-off of sales in the series. After 2, each game sold less than the last. Then RE4 happened.
I do miss the old "adventure game with combat" style though. I love those old games. I still wish we'd get a quick and dirty port of Outbreak games. I loved those so much, and would love to play them again without going into the private servers where everyone has mastered it already.
