Each 5-set determines ends in a certain carat reward. If you have 4 or more wins total across all of your sets for this section of the cup then you get put into group A for the next section, which has better rewards. If you don't then you get put into group B.

So just keep hitting the button unless you're going to make some better horses.

After this section and the next section then the final is just a single race which has mega rewards. You definitely want to be in the Group A for that final because the rewards are much higher.

I built my Rudolf as an end closer for this one to avoid the nice nature debuffs, but it was a pain in the ass because it severely limited my borrow options and made me extremely reliant on inspiration RNG.
