I feel like Taishin's actually not the greatest this CM. Late surgers have On Your Left and Furious Feat and have better positioning to proc Red Shift/Pump in optimal spots. Meanwhile Taishin only has Furious Feat and Encroaching Shadow, and has to compete against other late surgers in front of her to see who gets to proc uniques right on the final straight.

Any skill that happens in the last spurt activates too late for it to have any significant effect. By the final corner your uma's target speed is pretty much finalized based on her stamina at that point, so anything that happens after that is negligible.
