Smoke vial is just a shitty item conceptually. It was bad in 2v8 before.

A better version of it would be a perk with like a 90-120 second cooldown that dropped it when you unhooked or finished a gen.

I would say I'm a fairly mediocre killer (less than 1k hours on killer, high 60s killrate 75 if im trying) but even the pre-nerfed smoke was very mediocre especially midchase. It's only real use is hiding auras against proxy camping or killers who can immediately get to a loud noise notification in like 3 seconds anywhere on the map.

I like 2v8 because I can dick around and flashbang killers and still have people do shit to progress the game

I was happy to just do tomes as silly side objectives that gave me a reason to bring different survivor perks every match.

It also didn't improve the survivor quality this time it seems. Usually you'd have the casuals and "silly" players playing the event mode but in think 90% of my games the survivors just DC, sandbag, give up, etc no matter what.

2v8 is better than 1v4. Make it permanent and delete 1v4.

Been running Tinkerer a lot of Pyramid Head and it's become my preferred Undetectable method to push people off gens with PotD

It activates only the moment you need it to, gives information and doesn't require you to actually do anything. It procs, you walk up to the gen and get a down.

Works well, if your only wish is to find someone on gen. Overkill a bit, surveillance my beloved is great for knowing someone's there, but oppression isn't much of a help if they work smart.
That whole 1chase, 1hook, 1 rescue, 1 gen equasion works against Oppression, since it's situational upkeep and out of your control most of the time.
Higher consistency options are plentiful
>Call of Brine, works mediocrely with the equasion, but better than oppression, works best early game since the guy who runs, runs to a different gen and the guy who hides will be hooked, incentivises Dragon's grip
>Eruption, generally a better perk for getting NtH uptime, gives info if you kick 2/3 gens and a guy ends up on it while you chase
Overall, replace DG with MYC. More consistent in getting downs, doesn't rely on someone going the place you are, instead going the place you want to find people. Also a nice DS timer.

For perks, discordance for info aand noises for you and zombies, then surveillance for increased repair noise for the zombies (totals to 12 metres increase), then i use oppression for its convo with surveillance and dragon grip for the screaming survivor. But you can get call of brine instead. Those last 2 can be changed for something else but the first 2 are a must.

Well ps4 got an extended end of life due to ps5 releasing in covid times where manufacturing and shipping were more expensive and people had less spending money. Even so, the games released after a certain point ran like shit on it. It generally comes online just as the survivor throws down a pallet that you can't really hit them over, or turns a corner, and by the time you can get into position to hit them the effect has worn off.
