I think I realized why tremor is so horrible in MDs. On top of not having any damage modifiers, and half of the cast being years old, the gifts are so fucking expensive. Tremor has the most gifts out of any status effect, and almost all of them, not counting the fusions, are upgradable. Fishing for the gifts is so annoying, especially when you know you won't be dealing any form of damage until your build is complete

This is currently the fastest way to do it BY FAR while going starlight neutral. You could skip the RR packs on lfoor 5 and instead kill something like the green fatty for more consistent runs.
The downside is that it's micro heavy and requires a lot more autism than just only pressing winrate.

Umbral Star is really annoying to play even for a Musou game (everything takes forever to kill if you're not using Lu Bu or Iskandar and your most efficient means of killing things is a 20 seconds long cutscene) and your allies are infinitely worse than in most similar games (you will often take 30 minutes to take over the whole map because enemies keep artificially taking them back). The story takes a bit ot get going and has its moments (third route is really good), but then it ends with Nero wank on par with Sakurai's usual nonsense.
Link has a much simpler story that still kinda works (not having Nero be a narrative black hole really helps), but its gameplay is among the best in the genre. If you've played other games like it, you might find the weaker base moveset to be annoying, but it works out. Your allies actually do their job and not only defend their territories, but also conquer more if they aren't tasked with staying in place by current stage.
