Has anyone else ever noticed that the whole Mike thing is a lot like the Zanzibart meme from Dark Souls, which is based on a real thing Fromsoft games do where a character mentions a name in passing once and then it leads to hours and hours of lore speculation. Which is the exact same thing Toby did with Mike, Spamton said his name ONCE and just from that people had so many ideas about what it meant and who it would end up being.
In fact maybe this goes deeper because for a FromSoft example of this, there's a Sekiro boss that shouts "Robert!" which is Toby's name.

I finished Silksong and I am feeling quite satisfied with it. Between it and Zexion, it has been a good year for Metroid fans.
X-Fusion came out too and while it's kinda scuffed, I am glad it finally released. Ambitious as hell ROM hack.
