There's grave issues with the timeline, no matter what. The biggest thing is that people are taking what many key npcs are saying at face value.

I don't think GMS is asleep. I don't think Weavers were in open rebellion as much as they took more overt control over planning and decisionmaking.

And their loss necessitates a change in how the administration is run.

Also Hornet is locked under rune cages several times. Since Weavers learned all they knew about silk/soul from GMS, it stands to reason she is just as good, if not better at ALL related skills like cages and so on, binding one's power.

Says who? There's literally zero healthy people in the citadel. Everyone has silk running through their bodies. Who put that silk there? GMS (by proxy).

You are doing that thing again, where you are taking everything said by every single npc as 100% truth and 100% fact. And when you inevitably run into numerous contradictions you use copious amounts of mental leaps to arrive at the position that you prefer.

There's very little logical coherence in what you're saying.

There's been three regimes as far as we know. And all put GMS at the tippy top of rule over every other bug. No one actually got rid of her, everyone is serving her in one way or another. No one can actually wean themselves off of Silk use, no one can live without Silk in their veins.

Yet GMS is not in charge, even though she is the one universal constant in the citadel. Times change and religions might change, but she is the one constant everyone needs to pay attention to, can't live without, can't work against without dire consequences and so on.

And yet she's not in charge, not at any point up until last weekend... when she "woke" "up" from her "deep sleep"... which wasn't her fault at all, but also didn't stop her from making children, mind controlling everyone, punishing others and so on.

'GMS dindu nuffin' theorists are off by a mile.

I think it's likely it's GMS who put her there. We see GMS' regime, first and foremost. Showing off her political prisoners makes sense from a narrative standpoint.

But it goes against a type of anon, who is somewhat invested in laundering GMS' different crimes under other actors.

I don't consider her to have absolutely no agency. I see her situation kinda like her being sealed, but there's cracks or leaks in it. I think the reason why she was able to take over Pharloom was because of the silk the weavers and/or conductors put into bugs. Thanks to that, she was able to "hone-in" on them and then haunt them through the cracks.

The Conductors were the ones to order the capture of the weavers, GMS is merely happy to pick uo their slack. Choral Commandments are issued by the citadel , we know the Conductors last edict was to finish the cogwork core. Therefore their commandment to capture Hornet came before.

GMS already controls the Citadel at this point. She's also not helping seal GMS if the music sealing her has already stopped.
iirc Phantom doesn't just expel waste, but also silk into the air. This possibly helps spread GMS' haunted silk around. The Mist disappears after beating Phantom since all of that silk is no longer pumped into the air there.

I think that happens after their haunting, making GMS the one to order that.
Why would they capture weavers of their own accord? Weavers were revered in Pharloom.

after clearing the game I'm also convinced that wanderer is the best crest by a large margin, not counting architect. you have to always use the weighted belt, long claw, and flint slate but it's incredibly consistent and its fast attack speed makes it easy to clash hits. I tried to use the counter skill with the hunter crest but I just couldn't be consistent enough I feel. I may not have got the 2nd hunter upgrade though?

I like Lace, so I'm fine with her as a last boss. In terms of difficulty, I don't think she's "hard" even though I died a lot. Karmelita or Last Judge were the bosses I found hard. Guess it varies a lot person to person.

Alright anons, I need your assistance. A while ago I got to the final boss (or what looks like) of act 2. I decided not to fight it 'cause it felt wrong, too soon. So I left and explored a lot, for example I got the double jump. Thing is, it seems like there's not much left, so should I fight it and move on? Or there's something important left to do?
I'm trying not to spoil/get spoiled. I got all the fast travel locations, if that clears it up a bit.

I tried looking for any enemy that looks like their masks, but none seem to match. They are either too big, or too weirdly shaped. I thought maybe the outcast's mask was an aknid's, but the shape is just a little bit off. For the guards, the closest thing I've found are the vicious caranids, but the ant's has actual mandibles and the little holes beneath the caranids eyes are above them in the mask.

Maybe Beast Crest isn't that bad after all. Only real issue is it has no blue slots

The stupid runs to most bosses are a good start, since most of them are not part of the boss' challenge, they're just designed to waste your time so people will talk about how they played 100 hours on their first save. Still not skipping boss intros or allowing players to skip the credits on subsequent clears. Just 100% the game, all endings, all mementos, all optional bosses. It was fun and the game is definitely more value for it's price than a lot of games out currently, but having played HK right before this, it really saddens me how they improved on multiple aspects of HK especially the movement, but then made others worse like hoe LL is a vastly inferior fight to PV. Overall it feels like they drank a bit too much of the Souls juice and it unfortunately takes away from the experience, even if it was still positive.
