I think it’s safe to say details and characterizations by the guy who made the characters has more weight to it, but then also Uchikoshi has more weight when it comes to Hiruko due to changing her character and story and adding way more onto her that was then assumedly asked to be placed in other writer’s routes to connect them.

The things not involving those two I don’t take as seriously myself. I do get it though, a positive example of this that’s unfortunate for myself is I really liked Hiruko in Slasher but then you can see how Uchikoshi handled following up that romance in SF (he didn’t till like, the endings).

Also yeah Kodaka didn’t cause if they’d managed to be on time we wouldn’t have gotten him co writing any routes or having CoT at all lol, but I’m glad we got Retsnom out of him it’s my favorite

Takumi talks to her a little, they break out, they’re slowly dying, then time skip their whole relationship now decision time. Considering Kodaka is attached that means it was crunch time so I suppose it makes sense they had to make a lot of them shorter (the only long routes he worked on seem to be Retsnom and Serial Battles but he’s also listed 2nd for that one too. Wonder if he just took too much time making Retsnom a full route that the rest had to be cut down because of it)

I think he has a very specific idea of what over-outlining something means. It doesn't mean just winging everything without a plan, but meticulously micromanaging every scene and plotting out every single beat in advance, not allowing new ideas to take over or the characters to pull you in different directions.

That's more what he means. Of course he plans stuff out, he built his career on murder mysteries, a genre that requires you to think about every detail and then do it backwards to surprise the reader.
