Part 1 is done! I'll just need to format it into greentext style when uploading, because I wrote it up in a word doc. Thankfully this is a good thing in the long run, because if people like the story and request so, I can probably just copy and paste the whole thing onto AO3 or whatever, still don't know how that works.
The plan remains the same, I'll drop some of the story on Friday. I want to pace my posts out so that way I don't take up too much of the /vm/ thread. As I mentioned, the story is pretty slow burn at first, which is on purpose. So if you don't enjoy it, feel free to skip around, and if you get invested, you can always give it another try! I dunno, but what I can say is if you just want toon sex , then you'll have to wait till Part 2! At most in Part 1 you'll get light romance, this is because I wanted to build up to a more emotionally fulfilling scene. That's the idea at least, I think it'll be fine.

On the subject of Part 2, I still need to iron out more of it, but I have a general idea of where it will go, and how long it will be (shorter than Part 1 is what I'm aiming for), I also know how I want it to end. There may be an epilogue, or I'll just stick it at the end of Part 2? It's just gonna be more toon sex .

Finally as an unrelated note, I'm actually a little surprised, but sad. Specifically because of today's /v/ thread. Some of the speculation on world-building and story that occurred I experimented with in my story! But I've been writing it for a couple of days, so I feel like I missed the boat a little. The main limiting factor is the lack of experienced game design knowledge on the team; Qwel is an ideas girl and concept artist but she is not a game designer and if you look at her favorite games on Roblox it's a lot of generic slop with maybe a stray Tower Defense game thrown in. Rox was basically the """brains""" behind the gameplay since he was the Minus Elevation fan so with him off the team Qwel basically just has to wing it and trust the advice of her other team members who likewise probably have no experience with this kind of game. My thinking is that in the absence of having anything like a childhood for all forms of socialisation to take place that a lot of these feelings of being nice to one another and how to behave around authority figures and such are either wired in on an instinctual level, taught to them during a period of socialisation before they're fully exposed to non carers/handlers, or both.
It's clear that the toons can develop a more nuanced perspective of these things over time and aren't forced to abide by these feelings as like it's undeniable programming. Clearly toons aren't tranquillised at all times, some toons like Shrimpo were likely expressly conditioned towards a tendency to needless vitriol. Though none of them seem outwardly interested in violence or rebellion they still have a capacity for it on SOME level should they be pushed far enough or reach that conclusion otherwise.

I think your average toon would feel ashamed even to be malicious, and wouldn't really question the feeling as it is the norm among their friends and peers. I also think that in situations like the ichor operation the cracks in this instinctual thinking would start to form as they'd be forced to reflect on them in a meaningful way they likely wouldn't in a managed environment. A toon could have the capacity to be malicious towards another toon or human, and their ability and eagerness to do so would be very circumstantial and based on their worldly experience.

When it comes to twisted toons, I'd say that while their default tendency is towards violence there's no accounting for why specifically or how mentally compromised they are. A twisted toon with negative experiences of other toons but only positive ones with humans might become entirely tranquil around their instinctual assumed carers and friends, or maul them in a thoughtless friendly glomp. But then, a twisted toon might be consumed by madness that they could lash out for any other number of reasons.

I think what that indicates is that between the cognisant and normal twisteds that it's less that these traits are expressly negative so much as they're in a state where they're emotions are amplified and their mental state is compromised so we see those exaggerated traits in a purely negative light. I say this because we're definitely looking at them all from the perspective of toons going down there trying to avoid them and not piss them off, and who see them as monsters, and not in more neutral conditions.

I'd say that'd leave room for a lot of interpretations, maybe all twisted toons are just as capable of reformation and control of forms as Dandy but they're never given the meds/treatment/whatever required to do so, or maybe they're all incurable and Dandy is a sort of sleeper twisted who keeps feeding the labyrinth of the basements with more toons to get twisted while thinking he's helping somehow until they themselves twist out and go hunting for the toons they trapped.
