This time as well he is in charge of writing their love story setting so he asked for love themed songs and a good song that came out of it was Cherry Boy and Angel but it ended up being used for Kneesocks. Taku was joking about how it became a different kind of love story to which Wakabayashi says it's about the love between a younger and older sister, familial love. He talks about how much the lyrics had changed because the theme of the episode was different from what was originally planned. He wanted to use the song no matter what and felt bad about asking for so many changes. He told them they could change the title but seems like they kept it.

Only point of contention I'll have to agree with. But personally at least there's an effort, even if its pretty much a very half-assed attempt. I'll be honest besides Garterbelt's active presence in the story being gutted and his humor being toned down, I didn't watch it for him specifically so my overall enjoyment of S2 wasn't effected by this. But I definitely feel bad for people who thought he would actually stay the same going into this season.
