I just had canes yesterday and holy crap it really sucked. The sauce is the most baffling part. People are always sucking off canes and praising the sauce, but it's not even that good. I'm pretty sure it's a mind a trick and the sauce seems good because it is absolutely necessary just to add flavor to the bland ass tendies and flavorless fries. But the first time I went to shake shack I got a half bottle of wine from a judgment of paris winning winery and I was sold. That was like 15 years ago and now they're everywhere and I wish them well. Danny Myer knows how to throw together a restaurant at any price point, it would seem. The quality of the food you get at Cane's is dramatically different by location as there isn't much consistency or corporate control over the franchise locations. In PA it's great. In Ohio it's meh and no better than KFC.
