Can anyone tell me what the central conflict of the show is? Why they're doing anything? they don't like doing the adventures, so why do they do them? Pomni has seen into the code and all that shit in the second episode. Why do they listen to Kaine? Why do they not try anything? Why do they not anything about abstraction? Why do they not express any thoughts about the environment they're in. It's like they're just doing whatever, but they're not even having fun because every episode is so stupid ass therapy talk with like four minutes of actual animation and then like twenty minutes of throwaway jokes where there's like one good one.

It's like the person writing has their eye on the mentally ill people that love this show and their ao3 tags and just write fanfiction to hit those checks without progressing anything in any interesting way. We know Kinger was a dev from like episode 3 and now he does one thing that changes the rules and they dont even question it. Who gives a fuck about the guns if you just found out someone can change the reality that you're trapped in. Of course that's sidelined entirely for the boring character drama. It's so fucking dumb, ithe show needs to go somewhere but really this is all just a series of marketing campaigns that gooseworx is planning releases around. Every fucking episode coincides with new things in their store the day the episode is released.

If we actually take what goose said this show is supposed to be a character study but the problem is the characters are flat and the plot is predictable.
The Jax abstract episode followed by the reveal they are all AI clones episode followed by them stopping Caine from abstracting finale episode.
It’s clear the show is more interested in these therapy talks when the show isn’t willing to give it’s characters more depth than your average Disney channel show.
Show also didn’t have the balls to make Jax actually a bad person because the show doesn’t want him to be too unlikable so merch doesn’t sell.
