Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. Not lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

Seeing good results with it so far after some initial bloating. Though admittedly it's only been a week.
Lunch
11.2oz of Mixed meats sausage and gyro:882 calories
2oz of cheese:228 calories
6oz of ranch dressing:780 calories
Mixed veggies:300 calories???
Total Calories:2190
Daily Maintanance:3350 calories, total lost 1160.
First good day to report, had to help my parents mow their lawn so I didn't get a chance to prep my sloppa.
Got a salad instead from my favorite sub place. They are super cheap and are huge, they don't list any calorie counts so I had to make my best guess. I also got a food scale so I could measure things.
Man I couldn't believe the dressing was almost as many calories as the meat. I need to prep a low calorie dressing for the future so I don't get stuck needing to use theirs again that really fucked me.
Also got a scale ordered should be here by the weekend. Thanks for listening to my blog, hope you guys had a good day.

That's pretty good. Obviously if it's your first week, the dosage you're on is the lowest it'll ever be at, so when it start to wane, it'll be felt a bit more noticeably.
The idea with Mounjaro is that the injections don't entirely overlap with the drug's depletion rate. So, the half-life is like 5 days, and you inject every 7th, meaning that each time you inject, you're adding to the dosage already in your system. After 4-5 doses you reach a "Steady state" where the average dose in your system stays around 4.3mg and doesn't increase with successive injections. Once you reach the steady state and you're still seeing results, just stay there until anything changes.
If you have a bad week, don't immediately consider upping your dose, give it another one before you do. You'll feel bad, but you won't lose all your progress from a bad week or two.
With side effects, they can happen. You'll almost certainly get some of them at some point. It can be anything from random chance to eating a particular type of food, or drink or whatever. Try to identify and avoid it. A lot of people just add more medication to combat the side effects rather than addressing the underlying causes, and you shouldn't really do that, but it is an easy fix.

I've found I get the sulphur burps and a bit of constipation. I'm on the 2.5mg at the moment, and I'm hoping I won't need more than the 5 to be at a steady state because that's about all I can afford.
There are rumours they may add it and Wegovy to the PBS come November, which would be kinda great because then it'll be a lot cheaper and Australia will become the land of hard bodies.

You have to consider advertising with all this stuff. They want you to go up in dose because it makes more money for them.
If you stay on 5mg for months, maybe you'll eventually lose some efficacy with the drug and start to lose some appetite suppression. But, you'll still have like 8.5mg of tirzepatide in your system, and the drug will still be effecting your appetite in a way that's meaningful compared to if you went off it entirely.
There's no real timeline on the drug losing all efficacy, and what general guideline there is out there indicate that the tirzepatide retains its effects taken at the same dose for over a year.
There's a lot of biological quirks to all this, and some people see zero effects of the drug until like 10mg. Some people see effects immediately. But, generally if you're seeing effects at 2.5mg, you'll see effects from 2.5mg for a long period of time. But, you'll see more consistent results if you go up.
However, you'll still lose weight either way, it's just a matter of consistency, speed and comfort, I suppose.
Worst case, you can quit it for 2 months, start at 2.5mg again. And realistically you're not going to regain like 10kg in 2 months, you might regain some. But, you'll probably be fine. There's no known resistance that the body builds up to the drug, and it completely leaves your system in like 6 weeks.

I think low fat greek yogurt is pretty thin, I usually get quark yogurt which is even thicker but has more protein. I usually do like 3-4 garlic cloves for 200-400g of yogurt, a pinch or two of the spices, herbs, salt and msg. Nothing too exact. Just mix, let it sit in the fridge for like 15 minutes so the flavours really get together and enjoy.

Net carbs are an oversimplification. Unless you're trying to limit carbs to stay in ketosis, you don't have to worry about them but they can have calories.
Sugar alcohols do have carbs, depends on the type.
Insoluble fiber is essentially 0 calories.
Soluble fiber can be broken down by bacteria in your gut and then digested as carbs. Roughly 2 calories per gram but depends on the exact type of fiber.

Been cutting the correct way to the point I would say it’s habit now, I’ve made some great progress.
Would it be super retarded to now start doing real fasting? I already OMAD I love it. I’d like to eat every 48 hours once a week and see how that speeds things along. Should be the difference between losing 4-8lbs a week and closer to 6-10lbs. Would be nice to at least drop from the 260s down to the 230s in 3-4 months before I decide it’s no longer sustainable. I figure now is the time to try that while I actually can do it with higher BF %.
The plan is roughly
>same diet and exercise
>Friday & Saturday (days off) 48 hour fast, 2 walks like usual for weekends
>get to 230, stop fasting
>spend 5 weeks playing with calories to find maintenance again, reasses, back to deficit, but begin resistance training 2 days a week
>increase to 3 days after month
>get down to 190 over next 6-8 months slowly
I’m down 50lbs in 8 months. It’s slow, but I feel like I have to do more now that it’s getting easy. I want to go harder. But I don’t want to run until I’m lighter.
Are these good? I have a strict 500 cal per meal diet so it wouldn't be easy to fit these 200 cal bars into my diet. I currently eat granola bars which are good but are lower in protein.

I say 50lbs in 8 months is fast weight loss, and you're better off just continuing to lower your calories in as your weight drops. If what you're already doing works, why change it?
I find that I'm way more likely to fuck up my diet near the end of a fasting period, and then I feel the need to fast even more to make up for it. If you do fast harder, just be more mindful of how it affects you.

Its paneer, if you don't get it in your country, just make it. You can make it at home, warm some milk, mix in some lemon juice, let the curds form, turn it off, strain the water with a cheese cloth. Pull out all the water and you have paneer, it should have the same consistency as tofu. Its proper protein and fats instead of onions. So, use it in the same recipes as tofu, just cut it into small cubes and put it in everything. Watch some youtube vids to see how to make paneer. There are also some benefits to doing 23 hour fasts, but I would say at least 70% of the weight loss from omad is just eating less. It's also harder to sustain if you're lifting unless you're doing keto / carnivore omad, because getting the 100-150g+ of protein you would need to maximize gains while also only eating once a day is a challenge.

easier said than done, it only ever worked for a bit until i overeat slightly one day, decide to throw away that day's progress and overeat even more, and then try and fix it by fasting the next days which in turn leads to me binging from hunger. but even knowing about this cycle doesn’t deter me from attempting fasting over and over again when this happens since simply returning to my regular intake the next day after overeating isnt possible for me, the guilt it too strong to do that. either that i retract all the overeaten calories from that day from the remaining days of the week, leading to an even smaller intake that also ends up screwing me over.
my only hope rn is to commit to a long fast, long for me at least, and reach that stage where the hunger starts to fade and repeat since eating every day, even as omads, is not sustainable for me.

The burger was an error, wasn't planning on being out of the apartment today but ended up that way. It's a shame I could have hit a real low number.
The dinner sloppa is my best guess, hard to tell exactly but I tried to weigh or eyeball everything and lean upwards. Half the beans and corn were lost trying to strain them and I found some curry cubes I used to make a sauce.
It ended up pretty tasty but I probably could have used just one or two cubes and saved some calories. I liked the beans and corn though, I think if I do something similar in the future I'll try to find a better mix of that stuff and use less rice. Doesn't feel like rice should have that many calories, I'm definitely eating too many carbs vs protein.

Yes before doing this I tried it all. I liked the idea of fasting but I couldn't ever make it work for me. How people said after the first day the hunger went away and they felt better. It was the opposite for me, every day was a worse hell and the hunger never went away. I got really weak and faint by the 3rd day. Even trying drinking salts and stuff didn't help.
I can handle OMAD well though, that's what I'm sort of trying to do now but I often end up doing 2 meals a day. I would like to shoot for at least a few 24 hour fasts though, but I want to get used to calorie counting first. I feel like its working better than anything else I've tried. It forces me to pay close attention to everything I'm eating and thinking about what I'm going to eat ahead of time.

Burger is not really an error, we can fit stuff like that here and there even when dieting, but since you're new to this I'd recommend going on a more whole foods diet for a while so you get used to it. And burgers are hard to estimate calories, fat/meat ratio, fatty cheese and all that.
Fibrous veggies and lean meats are great allies because they help you feel full.
Rice is fine in small amounts but they're basically sugar pills. The rice we eat has the husk removed so it's basically 100% carbs.

are you referring to the adhd post? look it simple. if you are trying to analyze the problem of obesity if you are asking "why do people get fat?" and your answer to that question is "because they eat more than burn CI > CO" you are understanding of the problem is therefore very limited.
the real question is why do people eat more than they need. when you ask yourself this question then the problem becomes more complicated. hunger isn't like the fuel gauge in your car. that is when you are close to running out the fuel light comes on and you top your tank. hunger is psychological as well biological. there are many things that can biological trigger your appetite like medications, poor sleep, neurological problems as I mentioned adhd. we know that if you feed people certain foods like potato chips and most processed food and have people eat to satiety on those food they will reliably overeat compared to whole foods like potatoes, vegetables, meat.
most people do not think about their diets and what they are eating besides spending maybe a couple of minutes about what they are going to get for lunch or dinner. unlike you and me and those of us dealing with weight problems they are just going on auto-pilot. there are many things you are on auto-pilot in your life besides food. food is just one area more where the average person is not putting much thought into. so if someones sleep begins to decline gradually so as to not be noticable then they find their appetite rising and cravings for caloric food becoming more intense but it's sharp and immediate. gradually they begin to eat more and more, pile on the weight. until they find themselves 50, 100 lbs overweight.

+2.6 kg in a week goddamn! It wouldn’t be wrong to say that I’ve lost all my motivation and discipline. After dropping below 100 kg I felt a sense of achievement and started neglecting my routine. When things in my life went wrong I also fell back into my old habits. Still, up until this week, I was managing to balance it out by 2 days on 2 days off. But this week I completely let go and gained 2.6 kg. Anyway what’s done is done. I either continue on this path or give up completely. I still have the desire to change so I’ll keep going. Well, now you know. When you buy a package of meat, if it shows calories, it's always raw. That's how you should always measure your food. Cooking reduces the moisture content and thus the size and weight of the meat without reducing the calories but it varies depending on the method and guessing isntba great idea. Just weigh it raw from now on.

stop eating bread for a while and see how you feel. other things can trigger it too like spicy mexican foods and beans. stick with lean meats, veggies, dairy, and if you absolutely need some carbs just eat a few crackers with your meal. i knew a guy who had a lot of problems with inflammation and he swore it was the shit they are putting in the bread these days. could be pesticides, round-up, who knows? some fresh vegetables can cause intestinal problems too. oddly, canned stuff if often better because they don't spray it with anything. i think that the weird coating they put on fruits and vegetables to keep them fresh is giving people a lot of digestive problems. they used to just use a bit of wax but now they spray some weird nano shit on them. inflammation can affect different parts of your body but most people who have it have problems in their gut.

It literally isn't, though. Quite literally.
There are hypothetical links between insulin spikes and the feeling of hunger as well as a reasonably close correlation between insulin spikes and sugar consumption (for obvious reasons),
But there is literally zero conclusive evidence of the entire chain actually causing hunger.
And insulin spikes are known to be incredibly closely governed by one's eating schedule - they aren't entirely reactionary.
Given the feeling of hunger is deeply psychological any claim of "something-something is bad for satiety" is inherently flawed.
For most people sugars and carbs in general aren't particularly high-satiety, but that's not a universal thing. And, most importantly, it quite LITERALLY isn't a "bad thing regardless of calories", which was the entire point.
Refined sugars are generally bad for people trying to lose weight because they
>are highly palatable
>are calorie-dense
>don't contain any nutrition being an extremely pure source of just energy (so could lead to deficiencies if a low-calorie diet is abundant in them)
>aren't particularly high in satiety generally speaking (extremely subjective, by the way, there are plenty of people who can easily fit in refined sugars on extremely low-calorie diet)
but literally ALL of the above very much directly linked to calories.
There is ZERO, absolutely ZERO evidence that refined sugars somehow "bad regardless of calories".
It's just a completely baseless and retarded statement.

The artist is doing them for entirely different reasons. We just take them for ourselves.
There have been repeats and non-nun pics, but there's a lot of existing pics and the artist pumps new ones out almost daily, taking breaks sometimes.
There is no AI involved as far as anyone can tell, the artist has been drawing them for years in a fairly consistent style.
