This is not different from what Greeks believed regarding themselves being the collective embodiment of Olympian spirit, the living flesh of the Olympian gods.

Christianity was the proposition that all gods are of a same source, a God of gods, and that all who are must unite as a singular body for their salvation from destruction.

It is more like greek than Jewish, but the roots of the idea long pre-dates both. In fact it is the attempted restitution of what you could call the origins of such a belief regarding God and people which are of God.

This. I think early on it had that "familiar but exotic" appeal among Greek and Roman weajews, and it maintained that mix of the familiar and exotic by tradition down through the centuries. Speaking of which, it was adopted by the French as a symbol of "liberty" but mostly worn by women ideals and personifications, but I cannot find how that is a connection to the cult of Mithras which was an exclusively masculine cult. Correct, Paul was a Hellenized jew and essentially threw out the Torah. Judaism is a religion of works and Christianity is fundamentally a religion of revelation/faith.

That really depends on which verse of the Quran you are reading, and each verse was a reflection of the situation Muhammad found himself in. You see the very same favor in passages in the Jewish Torah when things were going well for Israel. The basic facts on the ground had a real effect on the passages that were written at that time. Muhammad did write about peace and goodwill, when it was to his advantage to do that.

I hate that I can't remember where I saw it, by I remember coming across an article that compared the phrasing of 2 Peter's repeated description of how "the heavens will be set ablaze and destroyed and the elements will melt with fire" with some Stoic text describing their belief that the world would end and all the elements would be destroyed in an all-consuming fire, and it really looked like the author of 2 Peter had to have been familiar with the Stoic text to say what he said the way he said it.

There are also interesting comparisons to be made between some of Jesus' sayings and various Stoic quotes, like:

“If,” our adversary may say, “you wish to imitate the gods, then bestow benefits upon the ungrateful as well as the grateful; for the sun rises upon the wicked as well as the good, the seas are open even to pirates.” —Seneca, On Benefits, 59 AD

And

Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven, for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous. —Matthew, (80-100 AD)

Some redditor compared several sayings and felt that they were similar, but since he missed the above one I wouldn't be surprised if there were many more and much closer analogues to be found:

One funny point I noticed is that while Seneca says "No sane man becomes angry with nature. So, given that example and the bit about the sun rising on the wicked and the good maybe Christianity isn't straight Stoicism, but maybe the case could be made that it was recognizably in dialogue with the philosophy of its time in a way that is easy to miss now. Also, I think it's less controversially the case that Paul was aware of and made use of Plato, though I haven't looked too deeply into that myself.

Romans were desperately searching for a universalizing religion to unite the empire during the crisis of the third century. Sol invictus was the first attempt at doing this but Christianity won out because Rome had created an enormous slave population at that point and Christianity reduced the risk of slave revolts. It’s actually ironic that Christianity is called a slave religion when it was originally created to reduce the risk of slaves rebelling against their masters by letting them cope with religion.
