I want to help people, and the people who tend to need blood transfusions the most are people with cancer or severe blood loss or anemia, I'd be mad if my blood was used to save a pedophile or an abuser, but I can't know that.
In this case, I was donating to make a back up of the blood loss of another patient. Trading blood, kind of.
The health system in my country is public, meaning anyone, even foreigners, can get treatment. Don't know how they make money off from it, but you also get a free blood checkup/screening to see if you got any cancers or sexually transmitted diseases.
>>213134078
Thank you, it was a bit spooky but not as spooky as falling in love, lol. I'll take blood donating 1000 times over falling in love, please.
I'm trying to calm down though, I don't have to idealize people. And I gotta live with the fact they can just leave, people are free.

HDR gives you a wider range of colours, deeper shadows, and brighter highlights. If your monitor does not support HDR1000, but you turn on HDR anyway, it's just going to make the screen annoyingly bright. A lot of models are advertised as being HDR capable monitors, but they are HDR400 which is shite, as again, it just makes everything bright as fuck. HDR1000 is what you need for the real HDR experience.
I rock an 1440o OLED HDR1000 monitor and I love it. Too bad I don't gaym enough on it.
Anonymous Hungary No.213138320 >>213138522

I'm using Linux right now, and yeah Linux is now good at playing a lot of Windows single player games. But if you want to play Windows games with anti-cheat, those don't work on Linux yet. As for Windows, I haven't used Windows 11 yet. If you do stick with Windows 10, just remember that security updates run out this October, unless you sync your PC settings with the cloud, in which case Microsoft will give you an extra year of Win 10 security updates. >it's the problem of evil, a popular philosophical question
Grim wiki page and ain't no way I'm reading all that.
>Hume summarizes Epicurus's version of the problem as follows: "Is [god] willing to prevent evil, but not able? then is he impotent. Is he able, but not willing? then is he malevolent. Is he both able and willing? whence then is evil?"
>Is he able, but not willing? then is he malevolent.
If someone is drowning and I know he wants to murder me, does me not helping me out of the water and letting him drown make me malevolent?
Man this philosophical question sucks ass. I like the ship of theseus a lot more.

I find it pretty straightforward and convincing
it's not about human morals, it's about an all-loving and all-powerful god. why would he let a child die of cancer and all the other pointless suffering in the world? you need mental gymnastics to explain around it

>it's not normal to be as lonely as I am
It is, if you were raised on a setting that had you interacting with people through screens rather than IRL. Table kids don't even know how rough they got it. I was there, when GameBoys were first sold, and it was a delectable nectar.
This also applies to a lesser degree to people who grew up around strangers (caretakers) rather than family btw.
>and lack any real romantic experience in mid 20s.

The 50h work week is over.
Except the hour and half of beers yesterday, it was pure suffering.
And the outcome? I am a clown, juggling the needs of my suppliers, r&d department and the people I hired to modify and upgrade the factory infrastructure for the new project (that is delayed for at least one year). And every single one of them has conflicting needs.
Fuck this shit. At least the intern is of help.

I feel like with physical pain you can kind of determine how much something will hurt, and in my case, I tolerate physical pain way more than mental pain. My BPD makes it so that any emotional stress multiplies a thousand times, and managing those emotions or sensations can be extremely hard.
Thankfully I'm on good medication and I've been doing better since my breakup, but yikes. Don't fall in love guys, please. Don't.

Falling in love sucks cause you can't control it. In the case of physical pain you can kinda grind your teeth and endure it. With emotional pain it just escalates until you accept that it's happening.
