I was certain this game would flop since most people play FromSoftware games for the single-player experience. How has it not flopped?

I'm not sure what they discussed in meeting rooms when they made that game but I feel it's really badly addicting. Never ever got that feeling from FS games. I played all the other souls games a lot but always consciously. This game gives me weird feeling like extreme dopamine rush for 45 minutes. I now opened the Lies of P DLC and it's like coming down from addiction.

How did some D team at Fromsoft have managed to make a Monster Hunter game that's better than anything Capcom made in the 20 or so years they've been making Monster Hunter on their first attempt?
