I think Spamton was right with his warning: the world will be completely fucked and we'll be left playing an empty/broken chapter with nothing to really do and not even an enemy to kill us. Just aimless wandering for like 10 minutes then credits roll. Like a more "playable" version of Chara's timeouts.

It's clearly going to be some kind of metanarrative BS ending.
I think Spamton's warning will be 100% accurate. I think Weird Route will have us making Noelle into the Angel and she's going to fuck up the world, leaving us alone in a desolate remainder without any way to actually end the game and without even an enemy to kill us.
Anon, the entire point of Weird Route is us breaking the system to do horrible things and fuck up the storyline.

I feel like Chapter 0 is just gonna be a prologue bit and not a real chapter we play through.
The "Halfway mark" counts even for 7 chapters at Chapter 4, since the halfway there is 3.5.
If the "Chapter 8-10" placeholder spaces mean anything, I think they'll be used for an extended bit of punishing us in Weird Route.
We'll get our wish and get to keep playing and see our personal ending, but like Spamton warned us, the result will be a cold, empty world without even an enemy to kill us.
THink Chara's "consequences" bit from Undertale, but instead of giving us an out, it just gives us more empty chapters where nothing happens then credits role.
I feel like Chapter 0 is just gonna be a prologue bit and not a real chapter we play through.

Both routes are following the prophecy so far, that's the whole point of Ralsei's breakdown at the end of Chapter 4. Everything has been as the prophecy said it would be up to that point.
Ralsei is now more devoted to stopping it before the tragedy now, but overall the plot will probably play out no matter what we do at first, requiring a reset after the "intended ending" where we change something like how True Pacifist goes.
The big difference with Weird Route is that (You) are making your own actions. (You) are making Noelle stronger and putting a part of the SOUL into her, probably so she can take the fall for (You) in the ending of the prophecy as The Angel.

Gerson says that in the original book, which is based on the prophecy, everything just stops at Chapter 6 and ends.

We're going to see that ending first no matter what we do, just like how in Undertale you HAVE to see the Omega Flowey ending even if you've been playing Pacifist.
But then, we'll get our "True Lab" like segment after, which will be Chapter 0. And it will give us the final clue to finally breaking the Prophecy properly.
After that, we'll be able to get past Chapter 6, break the prophecy, and finally see Chapter 7.
And in Weird Route, we'll go beyond that. We'll break everything so that we can keep playing forever. That'll be Chapters 8-10, but all of them will be empty, broken messes with barely anything to do. And we'll remember Spamton's wise words as we sit in the silence, without even an enemy that could kill us.
