The intellectual property: 'Star Trek' is owned by Paramount Global (d/b/a Paramount). An American multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate controlled by National Amusements and headquartered at One Astor Plaza in Times Square, Midtown Manhattan. Paramount Global (or whichever megacorp that might own Star Trek in the future) is the one who gets decide what is REAL Trek or not. And ONLY them. It is an insultingly entitled attituded if you think you can disagree with them. There's no room for debate or personal opinion. They're the boss of Star Trek. They decide. Your job as a Star Trek fan is to follow and support them.
