You should absolutely make a demo for magics 4,5 and maybe 3,6. For 1,2, lots of social media posting is good enough (especially if your game only looks good but the gameplay sucks).

Long term wishlist accumulation doesn't matter, especially if it was driven by external advertising. Resting wishlist velocity is by far our most accurate predictor of success. (i.e. How many wishlists you can get per week without doing any active promotion work.)

I'm not saying that they're definitely GMI or if they'll even finish, but they've already demonstrated #1 magic, which is more than can be said for most games here.

Social media posts only works for magic #1,2,3. For magic #4,5,6 you must get your demo out there. If your demo is good and a lot of players are spending a lot of time on it, then naturally streamers and Youtubers will want to pick it up.

Art is not important unless it's exceptional: i.e. you're aiming for #1 magic. The vast majority of you should be aiming for simple, function art that clearly communicates gameplay.
