Imagine having a friend that just has done a lot of bad things to you for a long time but you still consider him to be your friend because you've known him for a very long time. That's essentially my relationship to god. I don't hate him, I just think that he's an asshole sometimes. Well, not only just sometimes, most of the time I consider him to be an asshole. I stick with him, though. It just feels like we've known eachother for so long that breaking it off with him would be way too much effort on my part and I can't be bothered to do it. I just wish he wasn't a dick, but he is.

If I could have chosen not to suffer, I would have chosen that, and I really don't think I would have been worse off in any way whatsoever. In fact, I think I might have been better off. Most people don't have to go through half of the bullshit I went through, there's no merit to suffering. Why do some people think suffering is good?
