honestly? Just don't be as bad as Homecoming, Downpour, Shattered Memories, or Book of Memories.

On the contrary. The DEmake made me APPRECIATE the original SH2 more than ever, because it is actually a properly designed, memorable and tightly packed experience, instead of playing like every post-RE4 action game on the market. Nonstop Doom 2016 style combat rooms and Jimbo smacking 450+ nurses and legs is not my idea of "fun", nor "Silent Hill".

I think they tried best they can, based on their budget, talent, and time given. They at least tried to mindlessly copy other games like Last of Us and Calisto Protocol.

That being said, it feels like such a generic Unrela engine "hire this man" fan project at times, like someone modded another game with SH characters.

Everyone is ugly and they have weird proportions because no one knows anatomy anymore. They literally had to reduce head sizes of many characters.

It's unoptimized Unreal engine jank with a lot of asset store assets. I feel a bit liek Frank Grimes pointing this out. Does no one care? It seemed to check the checklist of "fun game" for most people, and they enjoyed it and forgot about it.

I'm genuinely NOT impressed by modern AA or AAA jank. It looks like jank, hastily sloppily put together and downright ugly at times.

In the OG SH2, Maria was literally meant to be a "too perfect" female being in every scene, and they pulled it off.
In nu-SH2, she's a literal annoying passing tranny.

The Bloopoops also suck at cinematography. The Maria-Mary cell scene for example is completely butchered. The nu-Maria's VA also cannot swap between two vastly different characters on command either, just like what happened with the HD Collection back in the day.
