had my navy meetup last weekend, just flew back in this morning. hadn't seen these people in ten years but it was nice just hanging out again. i have minor beef with some of the people that didn't show up but would have liked to have seen them regardless. in general its just nice to see people not completely ruin their lives as time goes on.
missed my wife as she couldn't make the trip. got to see the first ultrasound pic and little guy is only seven centimeters and due in February. definitely started to feel real.
got a buyer for the land my destroyed house is on, not quite what i wanted but not far off enough for me to draw out the process. at this point just glad to be done with the complexities - unloading a property is so much more work than having it rented through a property manager.
halfway through the month and i need to catch up on my reading for this stupid data mgmt cert. i might just wing it since it's open book anyway.
other than that, back to the gym and salads.

my $100/week allowance is starting out well. it kept me from buying lunch or snacking out at the grocery store hot bar on a few occasions. as it's essentially a junk food, booze, and non essentials fund, i might end up reducing that in the future or after I build up to $500.
baby still seems to be chugging along. these early weeks it doesnt even feel real to me, though she's feeling nauseous a lot. still haven't told my family, mostly just scared in case something goes wrong early on.
other than that, weights are finally going back up with stronglifts plus and i feel stretched out again. hoping that means i can start cardio fagging again.
got a trip to see some navy buddies that i haven't seen in ten years. looking forward to it but only one of the guys is gonna be there and the rest are his wife's friends. i'm sure it will be fun but i kind of regret making such a long weekend of it.
continuing to read and study for my data management cert. my plan is to get these certs, and my PMP, and basically that's my last attempt to try to make it in this space. otherwise i'm gonna try to pivot to finance at age 40 since my industry is now just completely fucked with jeets.
oh and i slept through the night without the cpap.

Snorlax from the Monday thread here
There's a few different things to try but it may take some testing. Download Snorelab to record yourself through the night and see their effect.
Start losing weight.
Mouth tape to force you to breathe through your nose.
Sleep on your stomach.
You can try the Z-quiet mouthguard thing, but it sucked and didn't work for me.
I seemed to snore less when I was focused on cardio, like running.
i hate using my cpap but i cannot seem to get down from 210 to 195

Finally back into my groove after the honeymoon. She had a trip last week so I was eating and drinking but on the second night I just kinda had a "what the fuck am i doing" moment and stopped after my third or fourth drink. Not that I was getting wasted, I just didn't feel like it. Progress?
I think I've fully processed the fact that I'm gonna be a father. And I don't want this kid to come in the world and see that their dad isn't /fit/. So basically just committing myself to the lifts, the runs, and the final piece is just letting go of the garbage food. Mostly I just want to be able to sleep comfortably without the CPAP.
Also severely restricting my time consuming garbage media (mostly gaming) and replace it with reading. My company is probably 90% jeets at this point, and I just got a raise so I'm probably safe until the end of this year but I dont want this kid to be born while I'm laid off. So I'm going to dedicate that wasted time to get the fuck out of this company.

got married a month ago and in that time had one shot to impregnate my wife. last week she told me it was mission successful, blood test confirmed i'm gonna be a dad.
still kind of a surreal thing, but it does have me kind of resetting and realizing that i'm gonna be a bit of an old dad (i'm 39, will be 40 when kid is born). what do i focus on - cardio? strength? flexibility? just not being fat? how do i dad max?

honeymoon went great except no barbells in hotel gyms so now i'm sore as shit. working on losing that weight because meeting up with some old navy buddies next month and want to mog them since it's been a decade.
for the first time in 15 years or so i have no long distance runs scheduled. probably been so long since i've dedicated myself to cardio that i might start a couch to 5k program since 5x5 is basically a reboot at this point.
the theme of this week is basically just getting over the soreness from moving forward in life again. yay.
