if I could follow the plot while tripping on an edible, it's not too dense. It's a tight story that's efficient with its minutes, that's a quality of a GOOD MOVIE. There was an A-plot about Superman's public conflict with Luthor and a B-plot where Lois and Mr. Terrific uncover Luthor's plot and I guess a brief C-plot where Jimmy Olsen extracts information out Luthor's bimbo. That's the plot of a TV episode, you can fit it into a feature length film.

I am beyond tired of pseuds spouting this bs. I even heard normies make the same complain of Mario Kart World of all things. Really? Again, the problem with The Hobbit is literally the exact opposite of what you describe. Anyone who has read the books knows The Lord of the Rings is the grand epic while The Hobbit is more of a charming fairy tale. The issue was they tried to recreate the The Lord of the Rings with a story that wasn't suited to it.

You people are emotional teenagers with all the insecurity that entails. You want childish escapism but you don't want to be seen as enjoying childish escapism so you try to force whimsical stories into an HBO drama when the subject matter just doesn't support it. Grow up. Read an actually challenging text and then you won't be so desperate for comic book adventures to fulfill an emotional need they were never intended for in the first place.
