Exactly! I liked TOS and TNG, but DS9, VOY, and ENT left me cold. LD was the first time I've liked Trek in a long time.

Oh, but you are wrong about that. I watched TOS as a little kid, watched TNG in college (and beyond), and found the other series to be boring and/or cringe, until LD came along, and skewered everything I didn't like about Trek, renewing my fandom. And if that makes me not a true Scotsman, then I must inform you that I never cared to be one. I'm not a fanboi and refuse to engage the idea.

Isn't it great that they made another animated Star Trek series? The first one was great...on par with TOS...but it only lasted a season and a half, and I have it on good authority that means it wasn't "real" Trek. Unless the humorless scold wants to change the rules again.
