Yeah, I think Susie may have been actually on point about the Knight lacking power without the Fountain. That's why the Knight got so drastic in response.
I think maybe the Knight isn't able to normally exist/use it's power in the Light World. It only has strength in the Dark. It needs someone else to open the Fountains first, then it can come in and be this unstoppable force.
The first two Fountains could have been opened by other people conspiring with it like Carol, Kris or maybe even Asgore depending on how deep in this he is.
Yeah, I think Susie may have been actually on point about the Knight lacking power without the Fountain. That's why the Knight got so drastic in response.
I think maybe the Knight isn't able to normally exist/use it's power in the Light World. It only has strength in the Dark. It needs someone else to open the Fountains first, then it can come in and be this unstoppable force.

I feel like people have really glossed over Kris making the Chapter 3 Fountain.
Like, the implication is clearly there that they did it in service of the Knight so that Undyne could get got, that part is pretty straightforward.
But I don't see people talking about WHY Kris had to be the one to do all that. Even assuming the initial setup had to be Kris, why not just leave the door open and have the Knight come in and make the Fountain while they're sleeping?
It feels like a big deal that may imply the Knight CAN'T make Fountains normally. Like maybe Susie was on point with her mocking of the Knight in Chapter 4 and the Knight can't make a Fountain outside the Dark World.
If so, it would raise questions of who was making the Fountains for the Knight in the Light World. Kris did Chapter 3, Alvin may have been convinced for Chapter 4, but 1 & 2 are still up in the air.
