That's not true, Digimon in the 90s had a pretty consistent Graffiti, punk, gross-out aesthetic to it. The type of monsters that got made varied wildly from dinosaurs to humanoid angels and shit, but it was all rendered in a consistent grungy high contrast style, and the designs tended to share motifs: gross veins, belts, staples, etc

Thankfully this is something the franchise has come back to, see pic

>These are Digimon in 2025, why are all of them boring humans? What happened to Digimon being cool monsters?

I know this is probably bait, but the majority of digimon released in the past 5 years have been 90s style grungy monsters like pic related or >>713884963

It's just the largest category of new digimon after that is Chinese themed stuff

>another thread of retards who believe Digimon only makes waifus instead of the reality of making one waifumon for every cool design

As >>713605692 says Bandai came to their senses back in 2020 and ever since has toned down the knightshit and humons waifus: We still get them, but now we get as many grungy, organic monster, kaiju, undead, and gross cyborgs like the series had back in the 90s when it was influenced by western horror/adult comics., "gross out" advertising for boys, and graffiti

This has been a good return to form and while I am sure OP is just shitposting, if anybody genuinely dislikes the shift back then I want to know why your taste is shit

I can assure you it does not, Digimon designs have no firm rules or limits for what they can be, despite "-mon" implying monster. Some of them are entirely robotic, some are Just A Guy, some of them are formless lovecraftian things, etc

I don't know if they clarified on the amount of button presses involved, but they've said you can access the farm, evolution menus, etc from anywhere and not just the digilab now
